I once worked with a person who'd gone to school with a girl called Myrtle Turtle. I have never stopped loving that.

Any others?

(Not in the spirit of taking the piss out of people's choices, more in the sense of acknowledging parents' genius)

Honey Boon. I always thought it like honeymoon with a cold.

I think you're just going to be inundated with people mocking names op or the urban legends like the child called "L-a" etc etc

starsandstuff · 10/05/2018 18:53

delila I honestly don't mean it like that. I mean the ones where the parents obviously had a sense of humour. Lots of people take names so seriously - for obvious reasons! - and I like it where someone's been a bit tongue in cheek with it.

I once had an elderly neighbour called John John. According to him he was abandoned at birth and the note found with him only said "John", so he used it for both first and last name as he didn't know his real last name.
