I once worked with a person who'd gone to school with a girl called Myrtle Turtle. I have never stopped loving that.

Not a singular name as such, but when my mum was little, her next door neighbours either side were Mrs Fish and Mrs Chips!

When I was little we had a headmaster called Mr Wright and a music teacher called Mr Willy. Obviously we thought that hilarious.

I know a Nelly Kelly and a Sally Lally. I REALLY DO! Why they took their husbands name bemused me, just the done thing in their day I imagine.

A little girl named Pepper Sargent

I worked as a temp over the xmas period in a department store years ago. I was put to work running the credit info through over the phone for xmas hamper orders.

It was very boring and mundane until I came across an order for a 'Mrs Chicken'. My 17 year old self thought it was hilarious and couldn't tell the lady on the other end of the phone the name so had to spell it out.
After that I had to process the delivery detail where the first name was printed.

Also know a Holly Bush, Gordon Bennett, Tom Tickle (not particularly witty but I think it's quite sweet), and went to school with a Richard Long who was horribly teased and called Long Dick. Poor bugger.

When I used to do mailshots for work I used to send regular letters to a Mr P Chuter, always made me smile
