I once worked with a person who'd gone to school with a girl called Myrtle Turtle. I have never stopped loving that.

I once taught a Luke Wright. I thought it was hilarious as in "Look right" as I would pronounce Luke and look the same.

Knew a Paul Mycock... I still think that's the best name

Briefly worked with a James Dean

Definitely smirk at the unoriginality of John Johnson or Tom Thomas type names

I also smirk at people who insist on “wrong” pronunciations like “Mary but pronounced Marie” just why?!?

I know a man named Bean Beanland. You can google him, he's real!

When DH was at school ( a looong time ago) there was a boy in his class called Alexander Alexander. He was known as Double Eck .( Scottish thing)

Oh and I had a customer called Olive Green

A customer of Turkish origin where I used to work named 'Fathi Cok'. Also had the pleasure of dealing with Mr Wankling!

At primary school there was a girl in the year above me called Siew Fun Tsang, which I thought (and still think) sounds so beautiful.

I am a teacher and have come across lots of awesome ones but couldn’t possible share them. I do like to reassure people on name threads though that I have NEVER thought a child didn’t suit their name. They grow into them.
