So, New Year, New Thread. And the next set of New Babies are arriving! I hope they prove that there can be light at the end of the very dark tunnel we have all had to come through and I hope there are many more babies to come. In the meantime, we're here, as ever, with supportive words, virtual hands to hold and multiple fingers to cross to help everyone through these nerve wracking waits and scans. A more lovely group of ladies you could not wish to find. xxx

Congratulations Myangel on the safe arrival of isabella - fabulous news :)

Kittens, i'm so sorry to hear your news - how unbelievably frustrating! I hope now at least you can get the treatemnt you need quickly and it provides the key to the lock. What is the next step now?

Mrsbigz great to hear you are back in northhampton and that little Callum is doing well xx

cherrybug · 01/02/2012 12:04

Quick post to say many congratulations to MyangelAva - often wondered how you were getting on and I'm delighted to hear your news. Hope little Isabella is settling into her family and you are all enjoying these early days.

great to hear you're back on your own turf MrsBigz - sounds as though the wee man is doing great - hope you're all home soon.

hi to everyone else - who's next to have their baby?

manitz · 02/02/2012 09:46

hi congratulations my angel ava and mrsbigz, in case I haven't done so already. Glad all seems well with you all and that you are both back in your correct places. Kittens, yet again I'm really sorry to hear about the scarring and the fight you have had to have to get anyone to listen to you. I hope this development at least means you have more chance to have a successful pregnancy. still thinking of you and hoping to hear good news. x

helenlouisey · 02/02/2012 14:20

Massive congratulations to all the new Mums, so lovely to hear of their safe arrivals.

I'm now 21 weeks, and had my 20 week scan last week at the FMC, we had the same Dr that did my 12 week scan and she remembered us, so checked at the beginning that we just wanted her to do the scan and then explain everything afterwards, like last time. I just shut my eyes and looked the other way, I still haven't seen the baby at any of the scans other than the 7 week one when it was just a blob, and I haven't seen any pictures or DVDs of the scan, just cant bare to look or see one. Anyway the 20 week scan was all fine, which was a big relief, as had been as anxious about this one as the 12 week one.

Kittens am really sorry to hear about your Ashermans diagnosis, unfortunately I had the same problem after my termination, and needed 2 operations to remove all the scarring. Please PM me if I can help at all, or offer any advise, AS is definitely treatable but the most important thing is finding a Dr who knows what they are doing and follows the correct protocol, other wise sadly they can end up making the situation worse. X

Cantdothisagain · 03/02/2012 07:31

Baby news! Bezzyk had a little girl last night, in a dramatic sounding home-birth. I don?t know the name or the weight, but they are both fine. Such a long journey for Bezzy as she first posted here in April 2009 after a termination for T21.
Congratulations to Ghislaine and MyAngelAva on Charles and Isabella. Lovely names! And you both sound very happy.
Helenlouisey, good news on the anomaly scan, another hurdle safely passed!
Kittens?. What can I say? I just hope you can get this sorted sooner rather than later. I still have 2012 as Kitten?s year.

ghislaine · 03/02/2012 10:56

Hooray for the bezzies! So pleased it has all turned out well. Looking forward to more news when it's available.

LittlePoot · 03/02/2012 16:40

Hooray for Bezzy! 2nd February is a great day for a baby. Mine certainly enjoyed his birthday yesterday. Looking forward to some more news and hope minibez is liking her new baby sister. xxx

Havingkittens · 07/02/2012 12:06

Ahhh, lovely news from Bezzy - Congratulations!

Also congratulations to Myangelava.

This thread's doing well for babies!

Thanks for messages about my recent ordeals. I am waiting for my appointment with the consultant next week to discuss all the results of the various tests I've had and to have a scan to check the thickness of my lining. There don't seem to be adhesions at least and they think they can give me drugs to build up my lining if necessary. The midwife said she would definitely recommend the hydroscopy if I were having IVF but said that as I am not it may not be necessary. We shall see. If they think I need to correct it I will definitely be PMing you Helenlouisey for your advice, thanks!

Will keep you all posted.

I hope everyone is well xx

Where's Mishta?

BlueCat83 · 09/02/2012 10:43

Hi everyone I've not used these two threads for a long time now so I'd like to apologise for a "me post" but I'm going a bit crazy here!

Ok so had a term almost exactly a yr ago and been ttc for a year. Did 2 Internet cheapies yest and day before... There was a stupidly faint line and I thought I was going mad cos the line were white so put it down to evap lines. Just done a boots test and the line did not come up instantly but a faint line appeared well within 3 mins and by ten its def there. What I'm wondering is can these boots test be wrong? And the cheapies are supposed to be more sensitive yet they've not picked it up? The line was faint altho very clear now but it's well over the time limit now!

I'm so scared, after a year ttc and at the point of thinking of giving up, I don't want false hope.

My cycles vary in length so not 100% exactly how late I am but my longest cycle has been 38/39 days and today is day 40.... Any words of wisdom would be fab. I'm shaking lol x

manitz · 09/02/2012 13:15

hi blue cat I hope its there. no advice but I'll keep my fingers xed. do it again in two days/hours. i find it easiest to live in the present and try not to dream. good luck on the rollercoaster x

massive congratulations to bezzy.. any news?

BlueCat83 · 09/02/2012 15:21

Hey manitz, thank-you so much for your reply. Couldn't wait till morning so went and got a clear blue digital and it says pregnant 1-2 weeks. Can't quite believe it had almost lost hope! So scared now tho.

Anyhow thanks for taking time to reply xx

LittlePoot · 09/02/2012 15:21

Oh bluecat - I so know where you are right now. Very wise advice there from Manitz to keep your mind in the present and not let it go chasing off along the multitude of "what if"s. Thing is, I know that when I was last in your position, I peed on every stick I could find and then just worried until the next morning when I could start the peeing all over again. I would say that I've never ever had a false positive result from a test-not even an evaporation line so I'm feeling hopeful for you. The less sane part of me is itching to tell you that you can break the sticks open and look at the strip out of the plastic - feint lines show up better this way. But that's not helping! The wise option would be to wait a few more days then peed on one of the expensive digital ones. They're not as ultra sensitive as some, but do make it clear whether there's a line or not. Fingers crossed for you my dear! Try to stay sane.

Can someone start us a new thread? This one's almost full. I don't feel like I should given I'm around so little these days. I'm back at work in a week and a half too so my little pickle is having a settling in session at nursery this afternoon. I've only cried twice. Growing up is tough!

Anyway, I look forward to visiting the shiny new thread soon and hope it brings luck and hope to all. Don't forget to add the babies list to the intro, including the latest new additions. xxx

hey great news. take it easy. i'm gonna refrain from posting til new thread. hope it sticks blue cat. exciting x

MyangelAva · 10/02/2012 11:54

That's fab news Bluecat- I have often wondered how you were doing as you went through your tfmr at the same time as me last year. Wishing you all the luck in the world x

bezzyk · 10/02/2012 15:16

congrats to myangelava and ghislaine! More and more thread babies arriving, really hope all of these new arrivals are an inspiration to anybody out there who still doubts having a healthy baby.

Minibez II arrived on Thursday 2 Feb at 40+1. We got the home birth we wanted, but it didn't go exactly to plan....

7.20pm my waters broke, called the midwives to alert them, she said that she'd grab something to eat and be with me. There was no real urgency as I was yet to have any contractions. We filled the pool.

7.50pm get my first contraction, which then started coming more and more frequently.

8.45pm still no midwife, get the Captain to call her and find out where the hell she is.

Shortly after have the need to push. Call 999

999 operators talk the Captain through how to deliver a baby.

9.18pm Minibez II arrives safely in the Captain's arms, in the middle of Minibez I playroom!

9.20pm paramedics arrive and cut the cord

9.25pm midwives arrive

The cream carpet will never be the same....

She weighed in at a healthy 7lb 14 oz

The last week has whizzed by in a blur, one thing I do know, is that I'm so in love with my 2 girls.

The last 3 years have been horrendous, I'm just so happy to be able to draw a line under it all, however, Minibez II has been worth the wait.

And to add, congrats to Helenlouisey, what a hurdle out of the way! And good luck to bluecat.

Love BK xxx

Wow! Impressive work all round chez bezzy. Did you find out why the midwife's meal break was two hours long?

Quiet congratulations to you, bluecat. It's a long and sometimes bumpy road from the positive test to a baby, but there are plenty of us here to cheer you along from the sidelines as you make your way towards finishing line.

Well done on getting though the anomaly scan, helenlouisey. I found it pretty tough too, but it got better and I felt calmer the closer I got to the birth.

Keep us posted Kittens.

In 'me' news, my parents are still here. It's grim. But we're surviving. And they'll be gone next week.

mrsbigz · 10/02/2012 19:16

wow bezzy - that was a drama-filled evening!?! so glad minibezII arrived safely - and congrats to the captain for keeping cool :) enjoy your newborn time!!

quiet congrats to bluecat - i'm sooo pleased for you hun! as others have said i found it best to just take one day at a time - thinking too far ahead just stressed me out too much so i tried to live in the moment. i hope that you have a very smooth and uneventful pregnancy.

helenlouisey - congrats on making it past that hurdle - sounds like everything is going well x

as for me, well Callum was 3 weeks old yesterday, can't believe where the time has gone already! we've been 2 weeks back in northampton so london is becoming a distant memory (thankfully!!! - although couldn't fault the hospital or staff, it was horrible being so far away from all my family and friends).
so he now weighs 4lbs10ozs - so nearly a lb heavier than his birthweight. he had his first bath yesterday (which he hated) but now has that cute fluffy hair and clean skin bless him. he still has an NG tube fitted, but is doing fantastically well at feeding. yesterday i put him to the breast for 4 consecutive feeds (3hrly) and he didn't have any top-ups through the tube. then overnight they gave him 3 out of his 4 feeds via bottle (expressed milk) - so his stamina is certainly building up - and i'm looking in the next week to spend a night there in SCBU with him so that he feeds without the tube for 24hrs......if that's successful then we're very close to taking him home. having withdrawel symptoms at the moment as was only there between 9-2 today (as DH works and couldn't find anyone to look after the boys) but hoping for a long stint there tomorrow.......will keep you posted!!!

lots of love to all xxxxxxx

katiecubs · 12/02/2012 21:05

Ahh Bezzy what a wonderful story - you brought a tear to my eye then! So happy for you all :)

Congrats also to Bluecat. Just take each day at a time, easier said that done i know but coming on here is a great support.

Good luck with your appointment Kittens - let us know how it goes?

All good here, Felix is WIRED - like a wind up toy on acid! He is uber determined, impatient, short tempered and down right stubborn but also the happiest little guy in town Grin Oh and commencing TTC in the not too distant future!

Katie xx
