Come hither all those who havent found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from me, fucker, hairy, gomummy, tired mum and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

What about hobbies?

elmofan · 09/06/2010 17:51

Springer

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 17:51

Tea that's why I can't watch the movies! I avoid any scary movies at all costs.

teaandcakeplease · 09/06/2010 17:54

I have no hobbies unless eating counts

I like cooking and baking though. A lot. Although I'm on a diet (started yesterday) and the kids dinner looks so yummy and there's loads left They had this one and then I made banana custard for them.

teaandcakeplease · 09/06/2010 17:56

I used to like running before kids.

I also rowed when younger and fitter.

CheerfulYank · 09/06/2010 18:09

I used to like running too. Um...I read a lot, watch movies, like to hike and be outside. I do lots of jigsaws and crafts with DS.

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 18:19

Ah, I am feeling SO much better that I am really not the only one who has had no time for hobbies since becoming mummy! I used to be heavily into martial arts. Now it is all I can do to keep in practise!

Now I enjoy cooking, baking, and gardening, all of which can be done with DS (albeit somewhat more messy an experience!)

Tiredmumno1 · 09/06/2010 19:07

I like jigsaws

but i do them online now, no mess to clear up

just a couple of hours to go til big bro launch.

yay

Tiredmumno1 · 09/06/2010 19:09

Aww elmo,

oscar looks so cute

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 20:02

Yes Elmo, what Tiredmum said! Adorable!

Tiredmum I would love it if you would share a link to jigsaws online, didn't know such a thing existed!

HairExtensions · 09/06/2010 20:41

Jigsaws online? The mind boggles! I want some of those (I am actually crap at jigsaws at DDs (5 and 3) can beat me )

Hello everyone!

victoriascrumptious · 09/06/2010 20:45

I will join because I LOVE getting flamed. It turns me on. However I will also join because not enough people are flaming me -which makes me sad

Tiredmumno1 · 09/06/2010 20:58

Lol victoria, welcome and take a pew.

right i cant do links, but one of the sites is called jigidi, other than that i just usually google free online jigsaw puzzles. and some sites are good as you can choose the sizes.

gomummygo · 10/06/2010 02:10

Tiredmum you have opened up a whole new world for DS and I! Puzzles that cannot be chewed, ripped, put in the cat food/dishwasher/washing machine! Yay!

GomummygoDS thanks you too!

Welcome Victoria, have a glass of something tasty!

teaandcakeplease · 10/06/2010 20:10

Hello bench buddies

Off to watch tv in a mo but wanted to swing by and see what was happening in the world of buddy bench

Those plants look lovely GoMummy

Tiredmumno1 · 10/06/2010 20:22

Hi tea, hope your ok, i am good, shame about the weather

thats ok gomummy and gomummyds, have ya managed to do any yet, i love doing the disney ones. i am a big kid at heart

teaandcakeplease · 10/06/2010 22:30

I keep thinking tomorrow is Saturday I'll forget DD's Pre School if I don't pull myself together by tomorrow!

The weather is so rubbish Tiredmum although Sat and Sun appear sunny-ish but only 19 degrees

gomummygo · 10/06/2010 22:46

Nope tiredmum, we're really bad at it, but getting better. DS has a good excuse, being 2 and all. I'm just rubbish at jigsaws but love how much he enjoys them! He is utterly amazed when they come together, cartoon faces in particular. He starts all jigsaws by "finding the eyes" whereas I try to do the edges first. His strategy of building around faces seems to work better than mine, lol!

Evening Tea, I have been thinking all day that yesterday was Sunday!? Need sleep!

Tiredmumno1 · 11/06/2010 15:08

Lol gomummy, i do the same thing and start with the edge pieces, i always found it easier

at least the weather will be slightly better other the weekend then tea.

i am so glad the gazebo is tied down, otherwise the wind would have blown it away, now that might have been a funny sight lol

Tiredmumno1 · 11/06/2010 15:09

I meant over the weekend - whoops

teaandcakeplease · 11/06/2010 15:13

Ooo just checked the bbc weather the temp is now going to be 20 on Sat and 21 on Sun. Yesterday it said 19. So that's a little better!

There's a local Carnival here tomorrow and Fair, so I would like to take kids and eat candyfloss

Think I ought to wake both the kids, as they're asleep and have been for ages. I want them to sleep tonight So I can waste spend time on mumsnet tonight

Tiredmumno1 · 11/06/2010 15:50

Lol tea, my youngest does that after nursery, it always terrifies me he wont sleep that night, so now i try and time limit the nap.

and of course you dont want to miss out on mnetting

i hope you have a great time at the carnival. lets hope the forecasters have got it right.

Tiredmumno1 · 11/06/2010 15:56

I am still trying to figure out if i know you tea lol. i am guessing you live in AL, i was gonna ask if you recognised some names. but wasnt sure if i should say on here. are you on fb?

teaandcakeplease · 11/06/2010 16:05

No I live in a WD postcode. You probably don't know me as I grew up elsewhere Be funny if you did!

Tiredmumno1 · 11/06/2010 16:23
