Come hither all those who havent found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from me, fucker, hairy, gomummy, tired mum and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

sandra bullock is a good actess too, i think hugh grant and colin firth are great actors.

i do like to read paranormal books, they are just interesting, i think it was most haunted that got me hooked lol.

whats your favourite colour?

and cartoon?

Tv show?

Tiredmumno1 · 09/06/2010 00:13

actress

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 00:42

Paranormal stuff is interesting, I have a curiosity. I mostly read international politics, cultural clashes, world religions, that "what makes people tick" kind of thing.

Is black a colour? The absence of colour I guess. What's yours?

Cartoon is Family Guy , though have only seen it a few times.

TV Show is tough, I have many. Kitchen Nightmares tops the list right now, or Hell's Kitchen.

Your turn!

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 00:44

I am a Corrie addict

Shhhh....

HairExtensions · 09/06/2010 00:51

Oh no GoMummy you've triggered my hayfever

Don't worry, just kidding! I didn't know you were in Canada, I just thought you were a night owl like me at least the odd cleaning times are explained now!

Well done TEA for your DD, I keep forgetting to put on my DD2 nappy or say "oh Mummy is busy, I'll put it on in a minute" and then she runs off to use the potty cos I'm not quick enough

Hello TM, you can come to Scotland, it's not quite Canada but it does have hills, lochs and snow

Hi Cheerful I've missed you to, don't forget I'm coming to live with you soon! Also if you have any Golden Retriever tips I'd be most grateful, I have a daft bugger, he's 8 months and adorable but destructive!

Cheeky, shame on you, forgetting about the bench you started!

Cheesy, are you okay?

HairExtensions · 09/06/2010 00:54

Also, it won't be long until we need a new thread!

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 01:31

HE, I am also a night owl (lifelong insomnia actually), and I do RL cleaning around the clock, so I try to have this bench nice and clean by the time I figure you are all getting up for breakfast! Sorry about the hayfever though! You probably shouldn't drink with that pill, lol!

Tiredmumno1 · 09/06/2010 11:47

Wow gomummy the bench looks stunning

okay my fav colour is pink. the kids have got me into spongebob at mo , also i love snoopy. and i tend to watch eastenders more than anything else so i shall have to choose that.

teaandcakeplease · 09/06/2010 12:45

I missed a lot with my early night

I'm not at all aware of what's in the charts since having children. I did love Westlife and Boyzone and Take That when younger though. Quite like Michael Buble is it?

Reading about 5 books all at the same time, 3 on children related stuff and Barack Obama's Audacity of Hope and Hilary Mantel Wolf Hall. Need to stop spening so much time on mumsnet and finish them all off

I love pink too.

Only watch a few tv things and it's mainly U.S drama such as The Mentalist or CSI etc. Don't really like soaps

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 13:17

It's not easy to answer some of them is it? Would have been before being a mummy, but now, I am so out of the loop! Especially movies/tv/music/etc. Except Corrie of course, I am a die hard, since childhood!

Tiredmum I thought you meant adult cartoons! Oops. We don't really do tv with DS yet other than the odd dvd but from what I have seen I was really impressed by Backyardigans (music and graphics). Though I know once he discovers that Thomas is on tv too, he'll be all about Thomas!

teaandcakeplease · 09/06/2010 13:28

GoMummy you're very good, there's a lot of CBeebies played in this house or Disney's or Channel Five Milkshake in the mornings for Peppa Pig and Thomas the Tank Engine Shocking quantity of tv watched I'd say!

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 13:49

Oh we do have the tv on often, it's just on music stations so the screen is blank. I like having different types of music on in the background, I find it is relaxing, and I would confess that I quite love dancing around with DS! (Poor little man, he is the only one who I would generally subject to my dancing! )

teaandcakeplease · 09/06/2010 15:43

Awww that's so lovely

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 16:27

mmmm Thanks Tea!

elmofan · 09/06/2010 16:40

Good afternoon everyone

How are you all today ?

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 16:54

Hi Elmo! Very well here, we are having delicious victorian sponge cake with jam and tea, courtesy of Tea. How are you?

elmofan · 09/06/2010 17:01

yum my favorite , thanks tea ,
I'm good thanks , dealing with two very excited children we are picking up our puppy tomorrow morning ,

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 17:10

Sympathy to you Elmo, I agree that you're unlikely to have any chance of a calm night! But congrats on the puppy, have they named him/her yet?

CheerfulYank · 09/06/2010 17:10

I also love the Backyardigans, I actually just posted about them in my facebook status.

TV: Hmm. I will always love Friends and Sex and the City. Six Feet Under was beautiful. I'm also quite nerdy and loved the XFiles and Battlestar Galactica. LOVED Lost and shall miss is terribly. My guilty pleasure is One Tree Hill . I'm really starting to get into Torchwood too. I like anything but reality TV; nothing but spoiled brats acting entitled IMO! Wow...it sounds like I watch a lot of TV but I actually don't. We can't get any channels at our house so we just get DVDs from Netflix.

Movies: Too many to list. But I cry at the Shawshank Redemption every single time.

Books: I love Stephen King, Jane Austen, and Jennifer Weiner. Right now I'm reading a book by Geneen Roth about compulsive eating and it's very good.

Music: I like country a lot; I go with gomummy on Darius Rucker. I like Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, James McMurtry and for voice alone I go with Christina Aguliera...she can sing.

Hmm. Color: Blue. So tranquil.

Gomummy, Dubya would have brought beer and BBQ. and refused to share.

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 17:19

PMSL @ Cheerful re: Dubya!

You share a lot of my faves Cheerful, Shawshank Redemption was great, have read all the old Stephen Kings too. Wouldn't watch any of them as movies though!

Tiredmumno1 · 09/06/2010 17:32

Shawshank redemption its a great film.

elmofan · 09/06/2010 17:34

Ohh i love Stephen king books & films

Tiredmumno1 · 09/06/2010 17:34

sorry elmo didnt see you there, what breed is the new puppy

teaandcakeplease · 09/06/2010 17:42

Cheerfulyank I like your choice of programs on tv.

I don't like Stephen King, I used to suffer with bad dreams and now go out of my way not to watch or read anything to scare me and then of course dream about

Sensitive soul clearly
