No she often wakes and it is damp. I'll wait until it is dry when she wakes I think. Or maybe until daytime's are really good first and then wake her at 11pm for a wee or something and lie her down again after?

How old is your DS? Did you tell me and I've forgotten?

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 14:32

DS is just 2.2, which is why I think he is still very young, but we are just following his lead! He is actually dry most mornings but becomes v. wet the second he wakes - cannot manage to get out of bed dry. I only know this due to my love of watching him wake up and sneaking in on him early. One of my favourite moments of the day.

He goes to bed quite late compared to many on MN, and has a wee right before bed, maybe that is why? But he wouldn't even consider going to bed without his nappy on, he particularly loves his nighttime nappies as they are all done in his favourite animals and characters. He falls asleep rubbing the soft side of the velcro laundry tabs!

teaandcakeplease · 08/06/2010 15:05

Awww how cute, sneaking in to watch him waking. I used to love it with my first child. Very very cute!

Yeah there's no rush, by the way on long journeys she wee's just before we leave and I'll stop after 45 mins to an hour and get her to do another wee. That's how I manage it. I spend a lot of time saying "do you need a wee?"

But it's so lovely your relaxed approach to it all and clearly your love for your little man!

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 15:21

Aww, thanks Tea, that absolutely made my day!

Curious when you stop after 45 mins or so, do you mean that you bring a travel potty or you actually stop and go in somewhere? Our window just seems very short once DS has decided he needs a wee, not sure we could park and go into somewhere in time? I suppose that must improve with time though. Ahh, the logistics!

teaandcakeplease · 08/06/2010 15:25

I bring a potty, I've borrowed a friends travel potty but DD hates it. So I bring her usual one from bathroom with us and just tip it out and wipe after

I do pull over in interesting places!

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 17:27

I think that's what we'll be trying Tea, I just can't see him making it to an actual restroom in time!

What are we all having for dinner tonight? Need inspiration...

teaandcakeplease · 08/06/2010 17:31

Well I made this

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 17:49

Looks tasty Tea! Had burgers for lunch, but have already printed that recipe for future use, DS would love it for sure.

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 22:18

A good laugh, hmm, I have an Adam Sandler song on my ipod right now that might do it? Used to make me feel better about my last waste of money car! Appropriately entitled "piece of shit car" - have you heard it?

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 22:18

waste of money Oops, sorry!

Tiredmumno1 · 08/06/2010 22:35

No i havent i didnt know adam sandler could sing or even had a song

And ta for the pampering gomummy i love the attention lol

CheerfulYank · 08/06/2010 22:39

"Oh my piece of shit car"... Hahaha I love that one!

I'm using the internet at one of the shops right now, and DS is with me....in underwear! Yes, ladies, we are venturing out of the house without diapers. I need to knock on wood now that I've said that.

I would love to meet up sometime, gomummy, I'll let you know if we have any trips on the horizon ever. And I am totally for the addition of some flowers...I think gerbera (sp? I need my coffee today!) daisies are very happy.

D'you ever think we could achieve World Peace if the political leaders just had their own Buddy Gazebo? I do! "All right, now Mr. Obama, bring some food and no fighting, mind!"

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 22:49

LOL, I didn't say he could sing!

Yep that's the one Cheerful. YAY for your DS! I am so impressed that you are out of the house without protection!

I would love that too Cheerful, we go West every few years to see DH's family, would be right "on top" of you I think!

Gerbera daisies are DS' favourite, he thinks they look like the sun?!?! Great suggestion!

If only it were so easy to achieve World Peace! I won't tease you Cheerful by asking what Dubya would have brought to the gazebo...

Tiredmumno1 · 08/06/2010 22:56

hiya cheerful, hope your good.

lol gomummy in my defence he is my favourite actor, he is bloody hilarious

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 23:04

He is hilarious, Tiredmum. He sort of does that pitiful-talk voice through the song. Sort of like I did every time I drove my last car, how appropriate! lol

Tiredmumno1 · 08/06/2010 23:36

Lol i will look on you tube tomoz and see if its on there. oh and just before you all wonder, drew barrymore is my favourite actress

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 23:45

OK, Tiredmum you've prompted a bench mini-survey...who is everyone's favourite:

Singer or Group?

Writer?

Artist?

Tiredmumno1 · 08/06/2010 23:52

Well my favourite groups (sorry cant choose between both) westlife and boyzone. fav solo female singer - whitney houston. fav male solo singer - george michael.

dont really have a favourite writer or artist.

and you???

gomummygo · 08/06/2010 23:57

Singer or Group? Not actually sure, right now probably Darius Rucker or Lady Antebellum, one song by Rod Stewart (Forever Young), James Blunt for solo singer

Writer? Way too many to choose. For fiction I am liking Dan Brown these days. But I read a crazy variety of non-fiction mostly.

Artist? Robert Bateman

gomummygo · 09/06/2010 00:05

Oh and Tiredmum Drew Barrymore is quite adorable. I think my actress would be Sandra Bullock. Actor, not sure...
