Honestly, are you online "theorising about good parenting" whilst your kids are watching telly in the other room. If you're such a good parent, why aren't you making things or playing with the kids?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/01/2010 17:16

My kids are causing merry hell with some loo rolls in the hall as I post on mumsnet, make dinner, finish a work assignment and try to find the cooker knob so I can actually heat up said dinner.

At 99p for 8 (recycled ,natch) loo rolls it is incredibly cheap childcare.

Morloth · 18/01/2010 17:16

He is not in the other room. He is watching power rangers and jumping around saying "Hyah Hyah". Dinner is sorted, logged onto Dominos a few minutes ago. I cleaned today. So I need to order dinner cause I can't cook and clean on the some day. Is too much .

TheCrackFox · 18/01/2010 17:17

I've put mine in the coal shed. I suggest every parent copies me.

piscesmoon · 18/01/2010 17:17

We don't all have young DCs.

MrsMattie · 18/01/2010 17:17

ROTFL@loo rolls

Sassybeast · 18/01/2010 17:18

Kids ? What kids ? Oh shit - thanks for reminding me

AngryFromManchester · 18/01/2010 17:18

doesnt it depend on how old your children are anyway? i don't get this 'but you are on-line' thing. Plus it does children good to amuse themselves

Mine are imaginary. I put them out of my mind whenever it is convenient to do so.

porcamiseria · 18/01/2010 17:19

I am work, working hard!

ImSoNotTelling · 18/01/2010 17:19

Mine look OK.

Itsjustafleshwound · 18/01/2010 17:21

Mine don't watch TV only DVDs on the computer

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 18/01/2010 17:21

my child is drinking bleach with a side order of rat posion, the frothing at the mouth is a little worrying but I am sure his pre-bedtime drink of milk will cure it.

Because they've spent all day making things and working at school and are now knackered.

ruhavingalarf · 18/01/2010 17:22

one of mine has finally fallen asleep in front of E.T., has bug and has been whining ALL day.

praise the lord. can now focus on shouting at the other one.

queenoftheslatterns · 18/01/2010 17:22

dh? is that you?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 18/01/2010 17:22

"why don't you
why don't you
switch off your television set and go and do something less boring instead"

Irony. It's great

cocolepew · 18/01/2010 17:23

I never go online to "theorise about good parenting". I like to talk about hair dye and Poundland.

Bleatblurt · 18/01/2010 17:23

Mine live the life of Harry Potter. Pre Hogwarts for them unfortunately. They live in the cupboard under the stairs.
