Are you such a good parent...?

Honestly, are you online "theorising about good parenting" whilst your kids are watching telly in the other room. If you're such a good parent, why aren't you making things or playing with the kids?

You can order online MrsMattie www.dominos.co.uk, so no need even to get up to find the phone - send one of the kids to get your wallet.

queenoftheslatterns · 18/01/2010 17:38

yep, truly ashamed.

ah feck, he's talking to his imaginary friend again!

nice bridge!

MrsMattie · 18/01/2010 17:38

Havoc? If my kids even attempted to cause havoc I would beat them with the heel of my fake Louboutin and lock them in the cellar (if I had one) with only stale Greggs sausage rolls for sustenance.

My kids know not to fuck with me with I'm MN-ing.

queenoftheslatterns · 18/01/2010 17:39

cleaner? dh? surely they are one and the same?

MrsMattie · 18/01/2010 17:40

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 18/01/2010 17:41

memoo · 18/01/2010 17:41

I do my own cleaning, have fab kids, and think my DH is pretty wonderful too!

I am very happy with my lot in life

Whereas you are clearly just a bitter, sad little troll.

I am always amazed at how bitter jealousy makes a person!

Morloth · 18/01/2010 17:42

Not around here queen he is under the impression that because he makes the money and I sit on my arse all day it is somehow my responsibility to make the house habitable.

cory · 18/01/2010 17:42

Ds is playing soccer with his mates, dd is reading Aurora Leigh. They have both spent a number of hours at school. Any further questions?

While I am quite a firm disciplinarian and promoter of unselfishness in children, I do not think they have to spend every waking minute entertaining their mother.

MrsMattie · 18/01/2010 17:42

@ Take a Break

momofnearly2 · 18/01/2010 17:43

TV. Are you kidding? My kids don't get to watch tv while they are in their cage.

That's why the cage is under the stairs!

queenoftheslatterns · 18/01/2010 17:44

morloth! doesnt he realise how time consuming important mning is?

claw3 · 18/01/2010 17:45

Just asked my kids if they wanted to make lentil friendship bracelets and they told me to fuck off.

PortBlacksand · 18/01/2010 17:45

Janos · 18/01/2010 17:45

queenoftheslatterns · 18/01/2010 17:46

random · 18/01/2010 17:46

I just asked 17 year old ds if he wanted a game of ludo ..but surprisingly he said are you mad no

actually I read the Star the problem page is much smuttier better then the sun

Hulababy · 18/01/2010 17:48

I have just sat for the last hour making Lego models with 7y DD, as well as taking some pictures of her for grandparents. She likes posing, so was fun.

I am now having a few minutes me time whilst DD finishes playing and then tidies up, then will go and sort tea.

During the day I am on MN at the moment a lot as I am off work ill, and supposed to be resting completely. So I have a good excuse. Besides Dd is at school then. ASnd housework isn;t resting.

Tellykidswhilstyouareonline · 18/01/2010 17:49

So you don't worry about the kids, or have any other obligations.... and of all the things you could choose to do with your time, you do this..?

good lord that telly cannot be serious.
However I do have a halo ish glow as supper is in oven and I am sitting alongside dd who is doing the most peculiar geography homework, a cartoon strip explaining why some random dad did not like japan till he saw it through his son's eyes. Whatever happened to oxbow lakes and the blast furnace?

random · 18/01/2010 17:50

No sometimes I go on fb

Jamieandhismagictorch · 18/01/2010 17:51

Hula - don't feel the need to justify yourself ....

< is MNing to avoid killing her son, with whom she has been bitterly arguing about the relevance of learning to write/ the need to do homework for the last hour or so >
