I've namechanged for this, and won't name any of the MNetters that I'm referring to (so please don't either!). BUT, do you ever find the same MNetters on threads you are commenting on - and they always disagree with what you think??

This seems to happen to me alot and I find myself really disliking them, which is ridiculous. Sat here on my computer, they aren't even real people, just paragraphs of text on the screen so how can I dislike them so much??!

Am I the only one that gets this? Or are there more of you out there that are just as irrational as me?

No - me the same, am only back on here after a months tantrum at someone i got pissed off with. You are not alone. Or weird. Or irrational

I was about to say you were unreasonable until I read your post.

I suppose that if you like someone on MN on account of the fact that you agree a lot, it shouldn't be unreasonable to dislike others for the reverse reason.

Unless, of course, I am on your blacklist .

Is it that they always disagree with what you think, regardless of what the topic is, or do you find yourself ending up in the same debates on certain issues with the same people commenting (the groundhog day threads).

Platesmasher . There are evenings where i am so thankful for the Hide Thread facility! And the fact it takes me ages to unhide a thread where I can't resist the final word!

But I like the mud slinging witty banter .
I do lurk on some controversial threads but try v hard not to get sucked in when it gets personal. Different opinions I can cope with, but not being told I am wrong .
But I "like" certain MNers mainly for their sense of humour, clever turn of phrase and of course if they can offer good old sound advice.

What really pisses me off? People who dance around the board saying 'why are you so worried about this then' on numerous threads. As if, after the previous 20-odd pages people are going to say 'Oh, you're right, aren't we big sillies'
