Never heard of this MNer before (but then I have only been around here for a year and regularly posting for about 6 months). Claims to be posting under a new name but was previously someone else on here - whose name I have seen on threads - and asks me to indulge in some slagging off of threads. Ignored message and then find myself being referred to as "poncetastic" on a thread I posted. Can accept the accusation....probably am a bit poncetastic at times....but all seems very strange "coincidence".

Who was it who asked this?
Which threads do they want you to slag off?
Can you copy and paste the message you received.

Once we know more perhaps we can shed some light on it, otherwise, I'm flummoxed, sorry.

Not a very MNety thing to do and sounds like you might be getting aggro for not following their wishes (assuming that the poster who called you pncetastic is the same one who contacted you?)

MN has been very: weird, bitchy and cliquey these past couple of days.

Yep, they sent me a CAT this afternoon (which I have never heard of before today).

I am reluctant to name names. I would love to but am also wary about getting more crap off this person as a result. I have reported to MN anyway and hopefully that will deal with it.

It was specifically the style & beauty threads.

Lockets - I replied to their comments on my OP on the style board asking if their attitude was based on my refusal to get involved.

The thing I have loved about MN is the anonymity of it all. This kind of behaviour leaves me feeling a bit weird about being on here now. I mean, wtf would someone randomly send me a message?

any more info forthcoming? I should be going to bed but I wouldn't want to miss anything...

I have noticed the above named poster.....rather snidy comments on some threads - and 99.99% sure I know "who" it is.

whoever that poster is 264 messages in two days is pretty good going , even for the more, erm, seasoned MNers amongst us.

I'd definately send a wee message to MN about it.
