What would the Left call the Right, if the small boat people were white?

I'll start by saying, I am very anti open boarders, and I am horrified that so many illegal immigrants are arriving every day. But for me, it has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour, it is more to do with :

ONE) They have no documentation, and we have no idea if they have criminal backgrounds

TWO) They tend to come from cultures where women are not respected

THREE) They often come from places where rape is not a crime

FOUR) They cannot work, and it is costing Millions to house, feed and clothe them

FIVE) We are granting asylum to some people who should never get it - like the Hamas bodyguard we heard of yesterday

Lots of valid reasons I feel, however, for me, it has nothing to do with skin colour. If I had to be locked in a room overnight with a white man from a backward culture, or a black man from the UK, I would choose the latter, every single time.

It isn't colour, it's culture

But I see that people on the Far Left just scream "Racist" to anyone who opposes illegal immigration. What would they scream, if all the small boats were full of white men? And would people still march for England?

Where would you rather be a man? Because you just outlined one of the many reasons desperate people leave their homes. And flee to safe countries.

A lucky accident of birth shouldn’t mean your empathy and understanding die.

There’s a lot we could do about male violence everywhere. And should. Saying all the terrified people should stay where they are doesn’t solve rape. It just means brown and black women in poor, war torn countries face the risk you believe exists, not us.

How far would you go with empathy? Usually people say they don’t want limitless people. But there’s many who could be here, so is it anyone who can be? It might be quite high in numbers.

Have you been living under a rock? There have been umpteen attacks by illegal immigrants and many, many rapes.

How many times does it need to be pointed out that it is not illegal to enter the UK for the purpose of claiming asylum?

DoctorDr · 29/09/2026 14:59

I don't know the answer.

But I do know that if the asylum seekers were hot women

Women and the left would form SS divisions overnight

KnorRoar · 29/09/2026 15:00

Violence against women and girls (VAWG) in
Iran is significantly higher and more systemic today under the Islamic Republic than it was before the 1979 revolution under the Shah.

Which is why I didn't rise to it.

I actually have housed homeless strangers in my house. Through a program with training obviously. My mum housed a couple of my friends from abusive and neglectful homes.

I still try not to rise to it. It’s nonsense!

Someone has probably said this already but have you been living under a rock? There are plenty of white British rapists, rape is clearly in our culture too.

Being from another culture doesn’t make you a bloody rapist, assuming someone will be a rapist because of their culture is racist though.

So, because some of our indigenous men rape, we should welcome in tens of thousands of more young men, who come from cultures where women have no value? GREAT PLAN.

Many people do house asylum seekers in their own homes. Apparently not those on MN it seems.

do tell me more about these many people

There’s something a bit wrong with you.

Check out refugees at home charity. Plenty of stories on there.

I bet you if there was some future environmental disaster rendering the UK uninhabitable that people would change their tune immediately. There but for the grace of God go I and all that. Countries like Turkey and Lebanon take the vast majority of refugees. The UK really takes comparatively few.

Iran is so dangerous that people from the UK are told never to travel there. Craig and Lindsay Foremen ignored that advice, and are now rotting in an Iranian jail. But fear not ladies, if you can't go to Iran, we will bring the Iranian men to you.....lovely jubbly.

Extremely disingenuous. You know full well this is economic migration. The last time I checked France was a safe country.

Sartre · 29/09/2026 15:04

I wish people would stop calling fellow human beings “boat people”, it’s embarrassing. They’re migrants/asylum seekers/generally people fleeing much shitter lives than yours or mine. It isn’t a right/left divide either, it’s typically a reform / everyone else divide. I don’t hear Tories calling people boat people and saying the dinghies should be slashed/people should be shot at as they try to cross but I’ve heard plenty of reform voters saying this.

Google is a wonderful thing - search and find out for yourself. Here's a starter to get you going: Refugees at Home.

KnorRoar · 29/09/2026 15:05

Why do we have the same conversation again and again?

DoctorDr · 29/09/2026 15:05

Ok let's just throw away our entire civilisation and tolerate weekly atrocities because we dont want to upset anyone.

The notion that you have to stop in the first safe country is made up. There is no such rule at all. Anyway, an economic migrant will not get asylum, will they? Are people talking about asylum seekers here or are they talking about illegal immigrants?

Rape is disgusting. Where would you rather be a woman, England or Afghanistan/Iran/Sudan or Somalia?

Please get back to me when you have an answer

Rape is disgusting and abhorrent, but it isn’t a foreign concept. Men have been raping us since the beginning of time, across every culture and time period—including here and now.

My background is in teaching English as a foreign language, so I have actually been a woman in a couple of the countries you mentioned (not including England) and had wonderful experiences.

I have also been assaulted both here and overseas, being a woman anywhere is dangerous, it’s like choosing between a rock and a hard place really.

They’re not asylum seekers. They had a settlement programme.
