What would the Left call the Right, if the small boat people were white?

I'll start by saying, I am very anti open boarders, and I am horrified that so many illegal immigrants are arriving every day. But for me, it has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour, it is more to do with :

ONE) They have no documentation, and we have no idea if they have criminal backgrounds

TWO) They tend to come from cultures where women are not respected

THREE) They often come from places where rape is not a crime

FOUR) They cannot work, and it is costing Millions to house, feed and clothe them

FIVE) We are granting asylum to some people who should never get it - like the Hamas bodyguard we heard of yesterday

Lots of valid reasons I feel, however, for me, it has nothing to do with skin colour. If I had to be locked in a room overnight with a white man from a backward culture, or a black man from the UK, I would choose the latter, every single time.

It isn't colour, it's culture

But I see that people on the Far Left just scream "Racist" to anyone who opposes illegal immigration. What would they scream, if all the small boats were full of white men? And would people still march for England?

There's already a word for people who want to stop other Europeans from coming to the UK by any means possible, so much so that they will sacrifice anything and everything to achieve their goal: "Brexiteers".

BillieWiper · 29/09/2026 14:34

Racist, xenophobic.

Depending on their opinions I could also think they were led to believe that somehow preventing this phenomenon would immediately make the UK a more appealing, fair and happy place to be. Which simply isn't the case.

Lacking in empathy.

DeftGoldHedgehog · 29/09/2026 14:34

In terms of immigration issues the numbers problem has been massive legal, not illegal immigration in the last few years (prior to 2024 and the change to the current government). My main issue with small boats is from a humanitarian perspective whatever colour people are, it's a very unsafe way to try to enter the country (whether boats, or as they used to in vans and lorries) and any people smuggling operation needs clamping down on as does any organised crime. But of course there is also a public safety issue if you don't know who is in the country. Just not the massive number one issue that some people would have you believe it is. And up to a few years ago we had no idea who was in the country anyway, we didn't have the technology nor the will to bother with it.

I mean lots of the people who cross the channel actually are white so I'm not sure what the point is of this thread.

It’s poor men, and poorly educated men who commit most crimes.

It just happens that a lot of asylum seekers are poor, poorly educated men.

Most go elsewhere, a handful end up here and that number is falling rapidly thanks to the work Keir Starmer and his colleagues put in.

Approximately 33000 so far this year, about the same as it was in 2024. Excellent work, Starmer & Co!

Glowingup · 29/09/2026 14:39

Also, I would bet that a sizeable number of people who say that this is all so terrible make use of the illegal labour that these people provide, eg cut-price beauty services, takeaway restaurants, cleaning, car washes and other things. Also, illegal immigrant is not the same as asylum seeker. Illegal immigrants arrive and disappear. They do not get accommodated or claim benefits.

Where is your limit? We are one small island. We cannot offer 'asylum' to any man who wants it

We are not a small island. Out of the hundreds of thousands of islands on earth, Great Britain is the ninth largest.

We don’t offer asylum to ‘any man’ who comes along. The vast majority of asylum seekers don’t come here in the first place, and we have a legal duty to consider the asylum applications of those who do, the same as every other country. Why should the UK be exempt?

Have you been living under a rock? There have been umpteen attacks by illegal immigrants and many, many rapes.

Someone has probably said this already but have you been living under a rock? There are plenty of white British rapists, rape is clearly in our culture too.

Being from another culture doesn’t make you a bloody rapist, assuming someone will be a rapist because of their culture is racist though.

I live in Ireland and agree with every word you say. I don’t recognise my own town or country anymore.

Must be terrible when you drive home from work every evening and you get lost because you don't know where you are!.

Rape is disgusting. Where would you rather be a woman, England or Afghanistan/Iran/Sudan or Somalia?

Please get back to me when you have an answer

Actions 100,200, even 10,20 years ago aren't reasons to punish the average UK citizen living today who had nothing to do with it.

Taking responsibility for the consequences of your actions is not 'punishment'.

It's the same here. I think I will be in a minority soon, I'm pretty sure the country is run under Sharia law and illegal immigrants are given mansions and luxury cars.

Actually, there's a pretty funny tiktok account featuring a guy who pretends he's an asylum seeker and refers to the UK as the United Condom.

Pumpkindice · 29/09/2026 14:47

Bet this thread didn't go quite as planned OP, it's almost as daft an outcome as twatty tomo filming himself causing a crime and then being surprised that he's being charged with a crime

The USA is party to the refugee convention but just ignores claims now. As does Hungary and Poland I think

It's said that every case is highlighted, but if you Google terrorism plot foiled, asylum seeker jailed etc, most aren't reported.
In this case he was heading to a maternity ward.

In another case, it was a school. Then we have the children who have been randomly stabbed. Or the women and girls who have been raped and murdered. Then there's the rapes and murders on the boats coming over, always women and children. There's a pattern that when life isn't going as they would like, they target women and children first. When the Moroccan team lost, women, in cities had to be escorted home, by the Police. Culture, religion and environment shape us. If you come from a culture were girls can be married, women aren't proper citizens, rape isn't wrong, because women should be chaperone etc, then you carry that with us. That's without the violence and murder that is allowed. Black South Africans are going door to door and throwing migrants out, because there isn't enough work and housing. But if we are saying the same, we are racist.

What makes you think it's "the right" who are concerned about the migration crisis? Who are these 'faaaar-right' monsters we keep being warned about?! I've never met any. However, I have met lots of bullying, fanatical, intolerant, hate-filled leftists.

In the '90s, a speechwriter for Blair said their plan was to "rub the right's nose in diversity and render their argument out of date." In other words, to use mass immigration to IMPOSE a new identity on people. Now that is the behavior of a fascist. It's fascists who impose things on people. And it's fascists who rub people's noses in things.

The so-called 'right' is a bogeyman made up by smug leftists to make themselves feel good. The 'right' are the baddies, the 'right' are Darth Vadar, and we, the left, are the goodies. It's as simple as that. In reality, those who worry about mass immigration are just ordinary, average people. It doesn't make you 'faaar-right' to want to maintain a sense of identity, and it doesn't make you 'faaar-right' to resent seeing the countryside destroyed in order to house illegal immigrants from the third world.

why do people persist in this dumb arse comment? When do members of the public ever house homeless strangers? Do you see people taking in looked after children? Homeless people?

Is the culture in Kabul to your liking then?

I mean, the culture in Kabul isn't to the liking of a lot of the people living IN Kabul. Much like the culture of Iran now isn't to liking of a lot of the people living in Iran.

Taking responsibility for the consequences of your actions is not 'punishment'.

What did today's UK citizens do to deserve this punishment. It's a cost imposed on them beit physical or societal

Where would you rather be a man? Because you just outlined one of the many reasons desperate people leave their homes. And flee to safe countries.

A lucky accident of birth shouldn’t mean your empathy and understanding die.

There’s a lot we could do about male violence everywhere. And should. Saying all the terrified people should stay where they are doesn’t solve rape. It just means brown and black women in poor, war torn countries face the risk you believe exists, not us.

Many people do house asylum seekers in their own homes. Apparently not those on MN it seems.
