AIBU to worry about large numbers of undocumented men arriving in Spain?

1000 replies

MaturingCheeseball · 30/07/2026 17:34

Thousands of young men from Morocco and beyond swimming to Spain. Spain obviously has encouraged the problem with their amnesty for existing migrants, but thousands more arriving with no means of support and undocumented is going to cause huge problems. Large numbers will no doubt be ultimately trying to reach the UK.

It’s harsh, but we cannot accept infinite numbers of men.

I really encourage you to read this article and how he goes into such fantastic detail about the dangers of having too many female doctors....

Honestly. Check who you quote if you are trying seriously to pretend that your issues with migrants have anything to do with women's rights.

My issue with migrants is bugger-all to do with women's rights! My issue with migrants is migrants, i.e. an economic burden!

‘tiny liberal brains’??
Liberal has a specific meaning in the U.K., Not sure if you aren’t from the U.K. or are parroting American rhetoric and really meaning the left more generally, but either way the data suggests those with higher education levels skew towards voting left.
That’s a really nasty way of speaking about people you disagree with though. And given you mean specific MNers, it’s probably personal attack.

People with ‘higher education levels’ are often cushioned in naice well paying jobs and living in areas unaffected by mass migration. And have been indoctrinated by universities stuffed with complacent similar types.
Cheap labour benefits them. Their kids’ schools still operate in s civilised way.
There are however many of us with higher education levels (I have two post grad degrees as it happens and live in a peaceful and affluent neighborhood) who can see how people unlike ‘us’ have had their lives and livelihoods blighted and continue to be sneered at by the ‘progressive left and are severely impacted by the luxury beliefs and suicidal empathy of the Uniparty consensus.

Education could also perhaps help in knowing that Ceuta is not mainland Spain.

Or in knowing that Spain was under a fascist dictatorship until 1975. That most Spanish people, perhaps even more so Basque and Catalan people keep a close eye out for fascist tendencies or the sort of nationalism following a difficult economic time that allowed it to take place here, and in Germany also. The preliminary steps are more obvious. On this very thread people talk in dehumanising ways of migrants. As mentioned someone expressed support for shooting migrants. Someone else implied support for sinking boat full of migrants to prevent them reaching the UK. There is a lot of hate being expressed.

Education in history teaches us to recognise that when a narrative starts of "it's that group of people's fault" that's a red flag. We see the protests happening in the UK. We hear of Tommy Robinson, of Farage, of the EDL. Of Reform.

But when the fascists get into power is when the ordinary people who didn't see it coming find out that they voted for people who never had their interests at heart after all.

You don't need to worry do you - you're not in the UK. You've got a socialist at the helm. A free for all.

I assume that they'd probably be wary of people they don't know well given the prevelance of that narrative. Muslims can read, they see threads like this.

You can't have it every which way, you want to be free to call 'them' rapists, accuse 'them' of being the type of people to throw women out of a boat, accuse 'them' of being part of some elaborate plan to take over Europe, call them 'scum', dehumanise and denigrate them(all of this has been said on this thread alone) and then have a pop at them for not wanting their kids at your house too Confused] That's the only 'bizarre' thing here.

No, not all Muslims but you already know that.

It's happened a lot and will continue. Nice to see posters pushing back. You're right, there's a difference between right and far right but you wouldn't think so on MN.

Well 'the Left' is a homogeneous group as well on MN.

Balances things out as as you said.

The UK is going to go from 6% Muslim to over 50% in 4 years??? That’s shocking!

Yes, it may be 6% now althoughtI think it be slightly more.

However, to appease that 6%: a blasphemy law was seriously considered; halal meat is served in most hospitals; FGM is tolerated: sharia law operates unhindered by the authorities in terraced houses serving as courts; huge outdoor prayer meetings are held in central London and there is a mosque on every corner in Blackburn-35 of them in a not very large town,

These are just examples from a long list.

And that is when the Muslim population is, to take your figure, just 6% of over 18s.

What do you think will happen when the figure is 12%? That's not so far off.

So, in a way the fact that you point out it is only 6% makes the concessions already made so much frightening.

If this for just 6%, what for 10%, 14? and yes, eventually, heading towards 35%.

You seen to be very good of assuming their inner thoughts. Have you ever assumed they were closed minded and didn't want their kids to socialise with non Muslims? They wouldn't come to Hindu households as well.

I think you have to look at the way other religions are treated by some of them in their countries of origin, not great being a Christian in Pakistan for example

this is why people are concerned, they see the possibility of their own way of life changing and the area they grew up etc

Again. If you informed yourself of Spanish immigration law you would understand that there is no "free for all".

It is easy to do. You can read it here.

Here is the law regarding the rights and freedoms of foreign citizens and their social integration.

https://www.boe.es/buscar/act.php?id=BOE-A-2000-544

There is literally nothing stopping you from learning the necessary steps for different collectives of people to be able to move to Spain. And if you did, you would see that it is no free for all.

As I mentioned earlier, our penal code has a mechanism for the expulsion of foreign citizens who commit crimes with custodial sentences of between 1-5 years if they have not yet achieved the permanent right to residency (which takes 5 years and has other requirements to be met).

It is not helpful in order to have your opinions heard and taken seriously if you refuse to learn what you are talking about before you talk about it.

BOE-A-2024-24099 Real Decreto 1155/2024, de 19 de noviembre, por el que se aprueba el Reglamento de la Ley Orgánica 4/2000, de 11 de enero, sobre derechos y libertades de los extranjeros en España y su integración social.

Some of us are just worried about the numbers. Britain has been importing migrants to the tune of a million a year for nearly 20 years. Our population has increased by a considerable percentage. We are a small island that can already not house all the people here, with a class system that encourages division and ill treatment of lots of ‘lower class’ people who get ground underfoot at any excuse. Even the middle class are not immune from that, our elites don’t care about people here who don’t have serious money. Parts of Britain have less water available per capita than the Sahara. Nutrients are steadily leaching out of our food growing system and we haven’t fed everyone here for decades as it is. And then on top of that, most of these migrants are men, they are causing issues here for women as they have across Europe, and we are told a load of lies and shut down when we start to say ‘err… perhaps that’s enough now’.

On the Spanish issue that prompted this, I’m glad your confidence in your own system appears to be well placed. Why do you think this happened? Was it Morocco trying to gain control of these Enclaves?

1dayatatime · 31/07/2026 21:45

The following BBC article made me realise that we are well and truly screwed regarding illegal immigration into Europe:

The Socialist Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez has shown that he has absolutely zero understanding or control of illegal immigration. He is on record as blaming people smugglers for the 60,000 people illegally crossing into Ceuta.

Does he genuinely believe that smuggling gangs could somehow organise and receive payment for 60,000 people to cross over by themselves into Ceuta. And nothing to do with the recent amnesty for existing illegal migrants in Spain and the recent Court ruling blocking the deportation of any new migrants.

I mean if he seriously believes this then he really is clueless and shouldn't be PM.
As a result of Sanchez's inability to control its borders both Italy and Czech Rep have understandably suspended Schengen free travel with Spain.

Rather than recognising and talking responsibility for the disaster he has created, Sanchez's instead hit out at those countries saying "said: "Solidarity and empathy are optional. Respect for European treaties and data is not."

Sanchez right now is the most dangerous PM in Europe and that's really saying something.

6% at the last census, prior to the Boris Wave and increasing with current birth rates and immigration. It will be higher at the next census for sure.

6% was enough to bring us nationwide rape gangs and the systematic rape and torture of thousands of vulnerable white girls. It was enough to bring us huge over represenation in our prison population (18%) and even more alarming over representation in MI5's counter-terrorism case load (75%). And even under MI5's watchful eye, 6% was enough to bring us appalling terrorist acts and mass casualties. 6% was enough to create whole areas of our towns and cities where democracy is gone, perhaps permanently, and native Brits must either accept representation from Pakistani/Bangladeshi heritage Gaza fanatics or leave. I don't think I want to see what happens if it goes much higher than 6% frankly, that's more than enough.

If they had arrived in uniform, it would have been an ' military invasion' , as they didn't, its a 'large number of young men'.

Given they mostly all went home, it was not an invasion by any stretch of the imagination.
