AIBU to worry about large numbers of undocumented men arriving in Spain?

Thousands of young men from Morocco and beyond swimming to Spain. Spain obviously has encouraged the problem with their amnesty for existing migrants, but thousands more arriving with no means of support and undocumented is going to cause huge problems. Large numbers will no doubt be ultimately trying to reach the UK.

It’s harsh, but we cannot accept infinite numbers of men.

Why do you think 3 women died though? Baring in mind there are usually no women or very few. Out of all the people on board, and 4 died, why were 3 of them women do you think?

Do you not think thousands of single men without work away from home is any kind of a problem? And what about accommodation? Where would you suggest they live and how would it be financed?

Well, that’s not strictly true is it? I mean in our culture it is, but you cannot say women are equal in all cultures. That would simply be a lie.

I don’t think there’s a central organisation running the show. It’s individuals. From no-hope countries migrating in the only way they can.

Open a legal route and guarantee deportation to irregular arrivals and the danger to the people desperately crossing will massively reduce.

People don’t stop in the first place they reach. We know that and some posters are very keen to point out that you can claim asylum wherever you like. Therefore we cannot accept assume that more than a few migrants will be making their way here. Especially if Spain feels itself overwhelmed.

Illegal migration is “down” this year due to the rough seas, the only deterrent is the weather, the government are doing nothing. The illegal unvetted men are now arriving in mega dinghy’s that hold around 160-170 people so numbers will soon start increasing rapidly. We are being invaded and the UK hasn’t got the infrastructure to cope with tens of thousands of illegals arriving each year.

Well, we won't accept "infinite men" @MaturingCheeseball, because there aren't infinite men. If there were an infinite number of people on the planet, then we would definitely be in trouble.

Maybe lay off the hyperbole and more people would take you seriously.

Do they stay in camps in Ceuta or are they transported to mainland Spain? My impression was that they remained in Ceuta until their claims were processed.

People are leaving that’s why. People with jobs who pay tax. People who owns businesses who employ people. Doctors and dentist and nurses and teachers.

But yes it’s going down hooray! We’ll add more people in who don’t have skills and don’t pay tax and lose the people that do. Brilliant plan.
