AIBU to worry about large numbers of undocumented men arriving in Spain?

Thousands of young men from Morocco and beyond swimming to Spain. Spain obviously has encouraged the problem with their amnesty for existing migrants, but thousands more arriving with no means of support and undocumented is going to cause huge problems. Large numbers will no doubt be ultimately trying to reach the UK.

It’s harsh, but we cannot accept infinite numbers of men.

On a separate, very simple level, has anyone asked what these young men are supposed to do for sex, for dating, for starting families - like the boat arrivals in the UK, for example? Has anyone thought of that?

There is a difference between 'the Right' and 'the Far Right'. The Far Right are racists, many are educated though.

That most Spanish people, perhaps even more so Basque and Catalan people keep a close eye out for fascist tendencies or the sort of nationalism following a difficult economic time that allowed it to take place here, and in Germany also. The preliminary steps are more obvious. On this very thread people talk in dehumanising ways of migrants. As mentioned someone expressed support for shooting migrants. Someone else implied support for sinking boat full of migrants to prevent them reaching the UK. There is a lot of hate being expressed.

Education in history teaches us to recognise that when a narrative starts of "it's that group of people's fault" that's a red flag. We see the protests happening in the UK. We hear of Tommy Robinson, of Farage, of the EDL. Of Reform.

But when the fascists get into power is when the ordinary people who didn't see it coming find out that they voted for people who never had their interests at heart after all.
