DH trying to force oral

whyohwhybrainrots · 27/07/2026 17:36

Ok before I write this I know there will be a lot of leave him comments but this isn’t why I’m writing it I just needed to rant! We have a lot of other things going on at the moment which would make leaving impossible currently. It’s something to think about down the line.

So me and DH were having some ‘us time’ the other night which is very rare (few times a year) due to DCs health needs and that taking up lots of our time. I was already not really in the mood due to him asking in a vulgar way (“do you want to Fxxx”) but just let that slide. He then gets on top and whilst he’s on his knees and I’m lying down he kind of shuffles up the bed and says “oh just a little suck first” I said no and tried to pull him back down to kiss etc, he then kept saying just go on only a little bit and kept laughing and trying to get his penis closer to my face. At this point I had said no twice, I then sat up, pushed him back and very forcefully said “I said no!” . He then acted like it hadn’t happened and we carried on.

not that it matters but I’m a survivor of child SA and so I can get triggered easily by things like this. I just think why do men feel like women would want to do this all the time, like it’s their right to make us? I’m sick of men thinking women are just objects to satisfy them. How would he feel if I’d done the same thing demanding oral when he said no?

like I said this isn’t about leaving as that isn’t currently possible, it’s just a rant about how men think that women can just be used!

Why do you keep using TV shows as examples?
I wouldn't take Tony Soprano's life advice on anything...

😆

Men? You can see them littered on here justifying their entitlement..

A certain type of man maybe, not men in general.
I have been married decades, had a few relationships previously. I have given and recieved oral sex many times and enjoyed both. I have never known a man who didn't enjoy both. I have also never known a man who, if I ever refused, no reason needed or given, would have forced or wheedled for it.

SnowflakeSmasher86 · 28/07/2026 13:33

Caramac045 · 27/07/2026 18:51

Not all men think women are objects to satisfy them.
Decent men find mutual pleasure the most satisfying and would not push a woman to do anything she doesn’t want to do. This may vary depending on her mood the same as his preferences depend on his mood.
Mutual respect seems to be missing from his ideal.

My thoughts exactly. I know you don’t want advice as such OP, and just want to rant about ‘men’ in general. But this isn’t acceptable behaviour from any man, even if, especially if, that man is your husband.

I’d find a time to sit him down for a serious conversation when the DCs are out/in bed and outline exactly how the situation made you feel, right from the crude beginnings to the feeling of having to continue after he made you feel vulnerable and objectified.

Unless he’s 100% empathetic and understanding, tell him he will not be getting access to you sexually again. He’s used your vulnerable position to push your boundaries and that is not a safe person to have sex with.

Agreed. What OP has experienced is pretty standard. All these LIBERAL MINDED WOMEN who believe consent is the be all and end all of sexual relationships live in cloud cuckoo land. Consent is simply not a stand alone workable solution in the real world! Their insistence at her leaving her partner even though she’s explained that isn’t part of the situation she finds herself in is very telling - an inability to use their imagination or curiosity outside of their own narrow world view. Normal women negotiate and get by; often indulging their partners with oral sex that they’d far rather not be practising. This normalisation of oral sex also makes me laugh. I sincerely believe many women have been steadily brainwashed by their culture that this is a perfectly normal, even essential part of a relationship - probably only come into effect in the last thirty years or so. I rarely ever comment on MN but felt compelled to offer some balance to the self righteous “advice” offered by so many of the ugly comments here.

A strange post..

'What OP has experienced is pretty standard. All these LIBERAL MINDED WOMEN who believe consent is the be all and end all of sexual relationships live in cloud cuckoo land. Consent is simply not a stand alone workable solution in the real world! '

  • is it common among women you know for their husbands to treat them like this? I don't think is 'standard' and nor should women put up with it. Why should they?

'an inability to use their imagination or curiosity outside of their own narrow world view'- maybe they've recognised that this behaviour is abusive and the OP needs to remove herself as soon ad possible? Plenty of pps know that it can be extremely hard to leave but some things should not be tolerated.'

'Normal women negotiate and get by; often indulging their partners with oral sex that they’d far rather not be practising. ' - why should they do that, though?

It's weird you say women should go along with oral they dislike but then say you disagree with the normalisation of oral sex...

Last 30 years or so? - oral sex began to be more common post-1960s, it wasn't suddenly mainstreamed in 1996.

I agree it shouldn't be essential if people don't want to do it but clearly many do. And it's not brainwashing to point out, as pps do, that receptive oral sex helps a large number of women orgasm, and is the only way for some to do so.

You know, a lot of this post is quite toxic for women. Sex is not something to be ashamed of—when I got married, the vicar blessed us (in front of everyone, as part of the ceremony) and prayed for us to have a great sex life together, as sex is a gift from God.

The Orgasm Gap is real—an overwhelming majority of women cannot orgasm from intercourse, and the most reliable way for large numbers of women to reliably orgasm is from oral sex. No “brainwashing” about it. You’re giving incel vibes. Women can do what feels good to them, and can set their own boundaries—for me, my boundaries are around the CourtesyWash™️ and ejaculation. I will not feel your shame about what I do in my marriage to close the Orgasm Gap between men and women, and it is very toxic for you to try to shame women.

As far as OP goes, her DH is toxic and doesn’t care about the Orgasm Gap, and most of us in this thread have confirmed that we would not indulge in his requests.

This, exactly.

It's interesting you mention religion as the pp you quote says on a recent thread that she's converting to Catholicism (though in a post from the same month she claims to be an atheist, oddly), which might explain some of her views in that post.

Catholicism doesn't advocate women being pressured into sex, AFAIK, but sometimes people who convert become more hardline than average adherents.

Women who use religion to beat down other women are the worst of the worst. If the PP is the Catholic that she claims to be, she will know that Jesus was very good friends with Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Susanna, and believed in their empowerment.

“I’m sick of men thinking women are just objects to satisfy them” is not a normal thing to say in relation to your actual husband sorry.

I’d say it’s entirely normal, to judge by the general quality of husband encountered here.

Millytante · 28/07/2026 18:40

whyohwhybrainrots · 27/07/2026 19:03

It wasn’t mentioned to be honest as he never has been in to anything like that. He always says he needs oral to help him get fully hard but doesn’t think it might work both ways!

Never been into bothering about giving you pleasure, you mean.

Millytante · 28/07/2026 18:48

HollyhocksandPeons · 27/07/2026 20:01

Do you remember what Tony Soprano replied, when he was asked why he never asks his wife for a blowjob?
He said: What, and she would use the same mouth to kiss my children afterwards?

You missed 50% of the point there. Blowjobs were obtained, on tap, from their mistresses.

Allseeingallknowing · 28/07/2026 18:54

GrumpyPanda · 27/07/2026 21:40

It's not prudish to consider it OK for them to WANT it, but not - as you insinuate - to EXPECT it. And also, given that oral is "a perfectly normal part of a healthy sex life", how about suggesting that to OP's partner who's only interested in receiving it while refusing to provide it in his turn? Hardly a healthy sex life if it's only about him getting serviced.

Your last two words says it all

Point is, respect for the wife, humiliation and contempt for the mistress. I missed no point.

Banoffeepie29 · 28/07/2026 20:38

It reads as if he didn't respect her wishes straight away. He still insisted after she said no.

MsIceSandwich · 27/07/2026 19:40

Some of these comments are batshit, oral sex is for dogs, penises are dirty, oral sex is perverted and a fetish.
Forcing it on someone is wrong, always, but the consensual act isn't.

I blame porn almost all porn has some sort of oral very unrealistic and teaches women that they need to suck it to make it hard 🤢

TheRoseSquid · 30/07/2026 06:25

SatsumaDog · 27/07/2026 19:44

Why is it batshit to dislike oral sex? A huge number of women don’t. Personally I don’t want a part of the body which is used to urinate shoved in my mouth. In the same way I don’t want someone’s dick up my arse. I think it’s gross. If other people choose to do it that’s their personal business. For me it’s a no and that doesn’t make me batshit.

I’m with you

Get a big dildo, kneel on his chest, forced him to suck it. Then choke him. Then start looking at divorce.

BlueFahrenheit · 30/07/2026 15:36

HollyhocksandPeons · 27/07/2026 19:12

You don't need to justify your disgust and revulsion by saying you were a victim of SA. You just need to say 'I am not a pervert', or 'oral sex is usually for dogs'.

We should step back for a second from our current glamorisation of perversion in all shapes and forms - and ask questions - 'hang on, why did Demi Moore said in that film 'suck my dick' to her enemy'? What is it an insult to call somebody a 'cock sucker'? etc. etc. Maybe then people will realise that is perversion and what is not?

Is oral sex perverse or for dogs?

BlueFahrenheit · 30/07/2026 15:38

If you need a sex manual, buy one or start your own thread.

Again, stop derailing this one.

You don’t need a sex manual to explain why someone doesn’t like having someone’s knob in their gob

Guy tries to thrust his dick in his wife's face after she's said no, and you're shocked that some women don't like oral and think they're prudes.

Perhaps a little lesson in priorities for you, sir?

Men need to except not every woman wants a knob shoved in their gob it’s literally made not date because every man asks 🤮

TheRoseSquid · 31/07/2026 02:53

User867536 · 27/07/2026 19:15

I think it's absolutely crystal clear to everyone on this thread that the non-consensual factor is wrong and I stated that in my post as well.

It's the deliberate blurring of boundaries that some posters are doing which makes the husband sound like a perverted deviant for expecting it in first place. It's been dragged as an act only done in p0rn and the crude formulation painted as vomit-inducing. (Context always matters in the bedroom and there isn't such a thing as too crude talk depending on which roles each sexual partner chooses to consensually take on).

It's obvious that lots of women don't enjoy the act and are using this situation as a moral crutch to prove how righteously prude they are by painting all men as pigs who dare to ask for oral.

ill happily be a “prude” if that means no having to suffer a fucking knob in my mouth
