First I ever heard of it was yesterday.

People act like it’s only non white people that do this.

A police mugshot of Alina Burns, wearing a black hooded jacket and a grey T-shirt. She has blue eyes and her blonde hair is closely shaven. She is standing against a light grey background, looking ahead with a blank expression.

Father of jailed neo-Nazi teenager says 'everyone failed her'

Alina Burns, 19, was jailed in May for attempting to behead a barber.

Afraid to launch a campaign because it might be countered. Sounds like they just aren't cut out for politics. It's OK not everyone is.

Know every one of them personally, do you?

I was just going off how you described them tbh. Whiny snowflakes seems to fit going odd your posts.

Vibes-based. Is that a new wanky term I've not heard about?

More deflection. 😅

You have no evidence. You just believe this because you consume too much far right content. Saying something over and over without evidence doesn't make it true.

I agree with this if they want people to listen/don't want to be branded as racist/stupid/whatever then get your act together and launch a proper campaign with clear grievances and clear aims. All I hear lately is rabble, rabble, rabble with no clear message.

Prove that you aren't stupid racists and put together a coherent campaign instead of whining on the Internet and burning people out of their homes.

The thing is, I am not in favour of completely open borders. I think year on year immigration got too high under the last years of the conservatives and did need to fall. I don't know if it needed to fall that much and I worry about the consequences but I can see why some people would want it. I also don't like things like the money laundering/drug dealing in vape shops and think it's good it's being cracked down on now with raids and new laws. Time will tell is it works. I also know and get on with people who have different opinions on immigration to me.

But none of that matters. If you don't join in with the Anger, or criticise the riots then you are a lefty liberal fool who doesn't understand why the self identified People(tm) are Angry. It's like the more Angry you are the more moral you are. I don't personally think people that riot and burn down houses with babies inside them decide to be listened to more than everyone else. Why? Why don't the (varied) opinions of people that aren't attacking policemen or setting fire to buses get centred. The point at which people like Farage/Musk support that ot try to profit from it politically is the point at which any decent person would walk away from them because you can't decry violence and excuse violent riots at the same time.

She's the wrong colour/religion for the press and social media to be outraged.

Hellohelga · Today 16:40

I wish people would stop lumping in immigrants with asylum seekers. Most legal immigrants are either students, who subsidies British students with their massive fees, or NHS and care workers, who do the jobs many Brits done seem to care for. These groups are very welcome here and swamp the tiny number of boat people.

MasterGland · Today 16:57

There is a clear danger now that terms which had previously been used to shame people into certain patterns of behaviour (Nazi, racist, fascist, far-right) have been over-used and so stripped of their previous power.
Combined with a government which is incapable of understanding the grievances of it's citizens, events are only going to accelerate in one direction.
I am really concerned about where we are headed because we are losing the ability to listen to each other.

Do you not understand that any campaign that is launched will be branded as "far right" and "racist" and "fascist" just as Reform and Farage have been? The only acceptable narrative is "stop the division" followed by whataboutery. It is a way of avoiding the real problem of the hollowing out of state services and a dire economy that offers no future to young people in this country,

Blame the far right who think it’s appropriate to fire bomb houses with kids in.

Yes, and the far left who support entry for people like the man who gouged out somebody’s eyes in public 2 days ago. Shameful, all of them.

This has happened, that’s literally what Unite the Kingdom (and similar) rallies have been. Plus the rise of Reform, Restore etc.

But only gained entry via ROI and then NI.

How serious was the "attempt"? She looks like a flimsy young girl and she attacked an adult man. He was not hurt, or at least the article does not document any physical harm to him, only psychological. I am sure it was scary for him. I don't know about you but I see an "attack" that left the intended victim unharmed as less newsworthy than one that results in the death of a young person or the gouging out of their eyes?

No doubt her "attack" was also not caught on video or police bodycam, so not sure how it could go viral.

The conviction doesn’t hinge on how successful it was (unless you’re looking at converting to murder/GBH). She attempted to behead him, and her ‘beliefs’ indicate it was racially motivated.

One is British and one came here because he was apparently facing persecution in his own country therefore needed a safe haven- which he was given.

Shame when he was given a safe haven he chose to deny born and bred citizens the same privilege.

She is mentally ill FFS and should not be in prison but in a mental health institution. The other perps from this week are criminal and vicious. The Nottingham guy was mentally ill and let down by the system - as were his victims

When they target migrant houses to set on fire, what should we call them?

Angry, disillusioned and left at risk by a failed asylum system which allows dangerous thugs into the country and expects us to live in harmony with them ?
