why is everyone so obsessed with cooking rice ? not a knock, more of an observation. We have rice at home once a month maybe .

I was the first rice cooker commenter - we have rice 3-4 times a week, hence why it's so important to me!

We eat rice daily. Some of us do.
I have a Russell Hobbs rice cooker.

We eat rice or pulses about 3 times a week and use the rice cooker for making other types of food as well.

Rice is normal food and cooking it (or lentils, or barley) about 3 times a week for various dishes is not ‘obsessed’ with it. A large proportion of the world’s population eat it at every meal.

I don’t have an airfryer as I’d never use it, but I don’t think its a mystery why so many people love theirs.

"Kind" Dopamine patches and some stress control patches. Genuinely have lifted my mood and motivated me to do things, only a week into using them daily. Usually work really stresses me and my body feels anxious by the end of day but this week I've felt actually ok and I do think they've had something to do with it!

Ooh do you have a link?? Need a destress

I got them from Amazon:

Kind Patches | Stress Down -... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FY3P8LT9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Dopamine Patches, Dopamine Patche... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0GH26KHDM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I've been wearing one of each daily. I was sceptical but I genuinely have noticed a difference

Oooh I need to know the name of the airline!

Ethiopian Airlines! So only helpful if you're heading (via its hub) to Sub-Saharan Africa, I'm afraid. But definitely a great deal.

A can crusher!
only cost me about £10 but I love it.
There are 6 of us here and we drink a lot of fizzy drinks and the recycling bin is a lot less full now. It's also quite fun to use 😂 I am easily pleased

Do you have a link?

Londonrach1 · 08/06/2026 21:42

Cats shouldn't be left out at night! This is why neighbours get upset, the killing of early birds, pooing in gardens, caterwauling.

Be a responsible owner.

I live on a farm I have no neighbours.

Mostly hyper-organization.

like i designed a tray that stores and sorts all my prescriptions. It fits perfectly on a particular shelf. It has a slot for a pen and my pill scissors. I can pull it out and set it on the table next to my month of pill cases. now instead of a jumbled mess and losing things it has stayed organized perfectly for 2 years.

flip charts that help us remember if tasks are done or not

a case that holds my daughters school supplies exactly how she wants them organized and out on her desk at school. It makes the difference between a child who never has her supplies and one who never loses anything.

ive been making this kind of stuff since I was a child, but with foam board and sewing. Basically I was my own OT before I knew I was ASD. Then my DD’s. The problem with the diy method is That it takes forever and is not nearly as durable. Plus I have a job and just don’t have infinite time.

If you want to start with simple hyperorganization for neurodiversity, look up Gridfinity. It is so simple and adaptable. When you need to change things it’s easy and you can reuse pieces in other places so it’s less wasteful.

Wow, so interesting, thanks. I’m very impressed that you go to such lengths! But I agree fully on the value of having things organised!

Ooh? Please can you tell me more? We have large windows and really need help with them since I damaged my shoulder!

Arjan · Yesterday 11:07

It is amazing, I have large windows and a few glass balconies, came across this and bought it, it’s not cheap, but I was finding it hard to find a window cleaning company, and when I did it was costing me a fortune anyway.

It has a rechargeable battery that lasts for 3 hours or you can run it off the mains, it is a bit heavy moving the base but I can do it with one hand even bringing it up and downstairs , they have lighter models I think.

It gives a far better result than I could ever hope cleaning my windows myself, but I don’t think it gives as perfect a result as a professional window cleaner. But it’s so convenient, and more cost effective in the long run, I love it !

one of those portable power bank things with 4 different types of charging thingies on it so I can always top up my phone or my headphones or my kindle with one handy little gadget. life changer on trips or long days.

tubing mascara - think it's only from maybelline or similar but it doesn't budge even with the new oil based moisturiser I use that made all previous mascaras completely useless.

A draining rack in an open-bottomed cupboard over the sink. Handy if your sink is against a wall, not if it's in the more usual position by a window. www.marthastewart.com/finnish-dish-drying-cabinet-11821024
