Who's this new celebrity groper who's been ' hauled in' for questioning. I'm beginning to think they've got a supply of them at the BBC that they keep in a cupboard and they let one out evwry now and then when there's a bit if a slow news day.

He hosted BBC's Gardeners' World from 2003 and subsequently filmed the 2005 BBC series Growing Out of Trouble. During his early years on Gardeners' World, the show was famously filmed at Berryfields, a rented garden in Stratford-upon-Avon. In 2010, he made the move to Channel 4 to present My Dream Farm.

If it's a gardener, I think there's another who fits better?

First person I thought of is the one who has just split from the person who was, strictly speaking, his wife. Not sure if he meets the criteria but he’s been around long enough…

It is looking more and more like a ring, far too many nefarious employees, not just the ones that are in the public eye. they don’t get a damn penny out of me and never will

ETA sorry I meant to tag @Charlize43

Dylan Dawes had more than 6,200 images on his devices, some of which depicted the worst kind of abuse.

Right. Not for decades then? So doesn’t fit the description at all

People are so quick to name without even thinking. Disgraceful really.

From the details given I believe there are only 2 possibilities but nobody has touched on either. Maybe stop speculating and wait?

Bit of googling based on shows filmed in Stratford for the BBC by independent production companies , has thrown up shows like ready steady cook, I had the displeasure of meeting one of the main faces of that (Susie salt and Percy pepper) and he was an absolute arsehole, also cash in the attic, weakest link was mentioned but that was Anne Robinson back then I think so wouldn't be her

I’ve heard stories this presenter was a groper.

LewKirtonHeavenInTheAfternoonNSOul · Yesterday 22:14

Wonder if Phil had a go of the gopher in the closet oh I meant cupboard.

TheCurious0range · Yesterday 22:17

I just read the metro article and it contains this line

The presenter has not been arrested at this stage – but if he is, and if he’s charged, it will be a real bombshell.

TheCurious0range · Yesterday 22:18

If that's not a clue it's one hell of a red herring

There is a household name who was a BBC presenter for years whose catchphrase on the BBC show was 'and on that bombshell'.
I actually would be surprised if it was him, temper yes, this kind of thing I'd not heard before and know a number of people who work in the industry so it could be metro click bait I guess

Oh ive just checked it. Yeah. He doesnt seem like the type, but ive been surprised by some of them. I wouldnt have thought in a million years Edwards was that type. He seemed utterly solid to me. But i was totally wrong so.....I also thought Rolf Harris seemed like someone's kindly uncle. Just shows how wrong you can be.

I don't think I'd be completely surprised by that one, but the show was made by the BBC, not another production company.

The only person in history who got an injunction to prevent papers publishing that he was having sex with his wife, because he was separated and in a new relationship but then started to have sex with his wife again whilst still being in the relationship. Can you have an affair with your spouse?

Well there was that one radio show involving a prank call... But tbf he honestly seems happily married, I only thought of him because the show / timings fit - its probably someone I haven't thought of.

Is this David Sullivan he’s suing bbc for allegations of sexual misconduct.

LBFseBrom · Yesterday 23:10

Noel Edmonds?
I thought of Chris Tarrant but he didn't do much with the BBC.

Okiedokie123 · Yesterday 23:11

I get the desire to ponder but I do think it’s seriously not cool to mention specific names when you’ve no evidence whatsoever. CGT doesn’t count as evidence!

Wait for it to be announced…..

BeardofHagrid · Yesterday 23:17

What on earth is wrong with the BBC? What a sick organisation it is!

I've got a horrible feeling it's sage & onion stuffing related. #cryptic
