Who's this new celebrity groper ?

Who's this new celebrity groper who's been ' hauled in' for questioning. I'm beginning to think they've got a supply of them at the BBC that they keep in a cupboard and they let one out evwry now and then when there's a bit if a slow news day.

First person I thought of is the one who has just split from the person who was, strictly speaking, his wife. Not sure if he meets the criteria but he’s been around long enough…

I thought that one too. .
V. oKAY guess I reckon

Im not sure. It was a tabloid, but I guess that's not much help. Something about 2005 2006 ...a tv presenter on big shows or something. I just saw it fleetingly and wondered if anyone knew what the story was about. I thought...not again surely. Im beginning to think when you go for an interview at the BBC they ask if you've ever groped anyone or would be willing to give it a go, and if the answer is ' yes', then you get given the job.

No, to be guaranteed work at the BBC, you just have to have a brown skin and read the Guardian!

I could tell you some salacious stories about inappropriate activities within BBC premises.

The massive chat show at the time would have been filmed in Stratford and had guests. It was also produced by the production company not the BBC. Though the host had a contract with the Beeb.

There was that radio controversy which has never sat right since.

Stwatford, you mean?

Isn't it about time the BBC was defunded by the taxpayer? It's like a club for sex predators.

Wasn't it bad enough to our money was given to people like Huw Edwards so he could use it to buy pics of young boys wanking? Why are we forced to pay for these people?

That's a ridiculous response. There are misogynistic sex pests everywhere in society, it's just that when it's a celebrity it makes the news (how many tens of thousands of people must the BBC employ if you're including via other production companies).

I'd be wary of suggesting names like this, remember Jeremy Vine's response after the Edwards story broke?

I thought that too.

I really hope not. He came to my sixth form to give a talk back in 1994. He seemed a genuinely nice guy.

Plus I think the quiz show he hosted was filmed at Granada, not in Stratford.

How do you know such things then?

If it’s the person/brand of sage and onion referred to earlier, the quiz show was filmed in Manchester. I’d be surprised if it was him as I was a contestant on said quiz show at that time and got zero odd vibes - but you never know, sadly.

You have all failed at the first hurdle

Look at the sidebar of shame on the metro article - the clues check out

i hope not though - i would be very disappointed if my suspicions are confirmed

There are two on the side bar who could fit the bill. One has a picture of a person hugging a young woman who he isn’t in a relationship, the other uses the words “household name” which makes me think The Metro don’t know but are hedging their bets.

There are at least two articles about Mr Tumble? No!!!

To be honest, my daughter and I have had him on Operation Yewtree watch for a very long time.

He wasn't "given money to buy pics of young boys wanking".

He spent some of his own money (which he earned at the BBC) on that, which was criminal and deeply wrong.

It really makes me eye roll when posters write stupid stuff like that.
