Who's this new celebrity groper who's been ' hauled in' for questioning. I'm beginning to think they've got a supply of them at the BBC that they keep in a cupboard and they let one out evwry now and then when there's a bit if a slow news day.

As much as I hate the BBC and cancelled my licence year's ago, it doesn’t seem right to throw around random names if you have no idea. BBC is a right cesspool though.

But i wondered if the name had been put out there since i saw the headline, so it wasnt really about randomly mentioning anybody but more about whether a particular person was being mentioned .

It doesn’t give nearly enough information to have narrowed the likely candidates down to only 2?!

When i looked up presenters from those years, two obviously big names came up and i wondered if it was one of them. I cant really believe it would be. They both seem far too smart to do something that stupid.

No idea. I’m not making random guesses. I don’t watch the BBC or mainstream tv and cancelled my licence a number of year’s ago.

I can’t think how there are 2 you think stand out. I asked ChatGPT and it gave me 10 for starters that fit the criteria.

Do you mean the guy who regularly got his c*ck out to "amuse" fellow unamused thespians?

Ah now I know who is being referenced, thanks!

No i definitely didnt get 10. I got 2 very obvious ones and about 3 slightly irrelevant ones when i looked it up.

The article is referencing a woman making accusations of unwanted sexual contact, so I would probably rule out gay celebs. I mean, it's not impossible, but I would think less likely, so that puts both of the suggestions so far out of the running.

Wasn’t one of the wheelbarrow man’s hilarious “jokes” putting his cock on someone’s shoulder?

gay or not, I’d included that in “unwanted sexual contact”.

I have no idea who that is. Maybe it’s just as well I don’t have a tv licence. 🫣

ANOTHER sex predator at the BBC?

Best thing I ever did was cancel my TV licence

Yeah because that’s going to make a huge difference.

He was cancelled about 2 years ago. Never a big BBC presenter though was he?

It's saved me a lot of money

I can't even remember who was presenting prime time telly shows twenty years ago.

ChatGPT does though…

Huw (we know about)
Bruce Forsyth
Reggie Yates
Jeremy Paxman
David Frost
Alan Titchmarsh
Bill Turnbull

From what’s been reported, the presenter is said to be:

  • A former BBC presenter, not a current one.
  • A household name who appeared on BBC programmes for decades.
  • The allegation relates to a TV show set in Stratford, East London.
  • The alleged incident occurred around 2005–2006.
  • The complainant either worked on the programme or appeared as a contestant/participant.
  • He was interviewed under caution but has not been arrested or charged, and denies the allegation.

I find the bit about contestant / participant interesting. Mirrors and Metros loooooove the clickbait titles and then it turns out it was a random extra.

No. The complainant may have been an extra. Whoever was accused was the presenter and was not employed by the bbc but by a production company

Ah yeah, you’re right.
It could also just be Hew, but a new allegation.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · Yesterday 20:17

From the Metro article, rule out anything made by the BBC themselves. So not Nick Knowles. And it's not Noel Edmonds because he took a break from TV work which covers that period.

Don’t see how. He doesn’t even nearly fit the description

BellsoftheCarols · Yesterday 20:22

Don't think they're hauling Bruce Forsyth in for questioning.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · Yesterday 20:24

Or Bill Turnbull. Absolutely no suggestion either of them was anything other than a lovely human being.

Wenttoaweddingonamonday · Yesterday 20:24

There’s only one show I can think of that fits the bill

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · Yesterday 20:29

Top of the Pops? I'm thinking of shows filmed at Elstree which weren't produced by the BBC.
