Am I the only person on MN who loves the summer?

All I see is posters moaning about summer and loving the winter.

I love the light nights. I love not wearing boots and coats and scarves. Bring the summer on!

I love it too OP! Love wandering around in a dress not hunched over in the cold. Love eating outside, watering the plants etc. Enjoy!

No you aren't. I'd make it summer all year round if I could. I loathe autumn and winter and have no interest in snuggly and cosy.

Sitting in the garden on a summers evening is bliss. Seems most of MN would prefer to be huddled under a heated throw though.

I love certain aspects of summer . In particular I love the long days - so much more opportunity to get stuff done.
And I love seeing the garden burst into life- gardening is my hobby.
But I really don't like very hot weather or prolonged spells of dry weather.

Everything seems so alive in late Spring and summer, The trees are glorious the gardens are looking their best.

No more dark mornings on the way to work. Hours of daylight after work.

Fuck winter.

It's not only gorgeous but it's practical in ways some people don't appreciate. Riding my bike is safer, drying washing is easier cheaper, it's easier and probably cheaper to entertain children, the list is endless.

I love summer! I love the light, and the heat, and just the lift it brings. Everything looks and feels better in the sunshine! Having said that, I also love cold, crisp winter days too.

I'd be up for having 9 months of summer, with 1 month each of the other seasons - provided winter definitely includes snow at Christmas! The change makes us appreciate summer more, and autumn and spring are beautiful.

People who bang on about "snuggly and cosy" as reasons for enjoying winter really annoy me - summer is clearly better because it's warm and cosy everywhere then! You don't need to hide inside and pay for heating!

I'm also currently about to give birth any day (hence high irritability levels 😆) and everyone thinks I should be struggling in the heat but I'm loving it!

Me too! It’s such a relief! I usually love autumn too but I absolutely hate Jan-April.

I love spring/summer, longer nights, feeling the heat of the sun on your face, wearing sandals and flip flops, getting the washing out…. I loathe winter.

I think the problem MN has is that summer is for everyone, so the oiks are out in their council house gardens scoffing their Greggs and slurping their Fosters in their vests while shouting at their kids over the Bluetooth boombox they stole from B&M.

If "we" were all left in peace to sit in our lovely gardens with our lovely family in our lovely towns and didn't have to interact with the poors, I'm sure things would be different.

We have had one day, just one day, of fine weather and the moaning minnies are getting hysterical about temperatures getting above 20 degrees.

I admit to making negative comments on here about bad weather, but not after just one day. It will be after 6 weeks of relentless rain every single day like we had earier this year.

No i love it! Hot sunny days are total bliss.

I have sad and struggle terribly in cold months.
