AIBU to feel upset there are no photos of my proposal?

DP proposed to me a couple of weeks ago. I feel really sad he didn’t arrange for anyone to capture this, there’s no photos let alone videos. I have said to him in the past that if I was to ever get engaged then it would be important for me to be able to look back on it in the future. When I put in my friends group chat I was engaged they all asked to see what happened and it was embarrassing to say DP didn’t think of this.

If it is real, OP is deluded. I can't be truthful because my threads get deleted for telling the truth - even when I say I miss my dead father-in-law.
I will say that life is not a bed of roses. If OP thinks no photo is such a big deal she has got a big shock in store when she enters the real world. Married life brings many trials and challenges. There is even a possibility that her in laws may become disenchanted with her.
One of the most disgusting photos I saw shared online was a very intimate photo of someone giving birth. I suppose OP is just the type who would want a photographer standing between her legs at a crucial moment. I bet she wants a slutty photo of her in her underwear on her wedding day too....

No, I really am not jealous. I just find the whole idea of it being all about the engagement, hen do and wedding a little OTT. It should be about getting and being married.

I got engaged 40 years ago and 5 years ago. I use sm a lot despite being 62. Honestly you won't miss it in a few years.
