YABU for calling him evil .

Really?

I did watch that video and thought what on earth are they kicking him like that for.

So I don't know whether he's evil or not but they shouldn't have kicked him no matter what he did. Once they had overpowered him.

Unarmed police tackling an armed man who'd already stabbed two people can go for it as far as I'm concerned. They were amazing 👏

YABU to link The Sun and call ZP evil though.

The poor little terrorist lamb

It’s bad because normalising kicking a suspect in the head is dangerous for us all.

DeathNote11 · 30/04/2026 12:34

He's been privileged & safe as houses all of his life, as have most of his ilk. People like that don't understand that the most effective way to get a person to drop a weapon is to attack their head. Hands will instinctively open in an attempt to protect the head. The police were quick & effective. A job well done.

Upstartled · 30/04/2026 12:34

The best we can hope for is that he is just so monumentally dim that he does a decent approximation of being devastatingly dangerous for the country. Though, I'm not that optimistic.

Really? He was a terrorist. What should they have done?

JohnBullshit · 30/04/2026 12:35

I have no sympathy for violent offenders, but I don't believe the police should join them by kicking the shit out of someone they've already apprehended.

WallaceinAnderland · 30/04/2026 12:36

You can't just call another person evil though OP. No one will take you seriously.

Upstartled · 30/04/2026 12:36

Why are they kicking him in the head? So, that he will release the knife he is clinging to and which he was thrusting at them moments earlier, after having stabbed two other people.

Fluffordirt · 30/04/2026 12:36

I don’t think he’s clever enough to be evil.

Yes. All of this

OP you are unreasonable to share a link to that rag, but Polanski is an idiot

MabelRoyds · 30/04/2026 12:39

Very relieved to see Police do some policing. I hope they continue to do so, maybe it will serve as a deterrent to the violent drones wandering our streets.

MorrisZapp · 30/04/2026 12:40

Police can and should use their absolute discretion in disarming and restraining a violent suspect. Once restrained, kicking him is wrong, for reasons that shouldn't need to be explained. Nobody feels sorry for this pos, but we should be able to trust the police not to mete out unnecessary violence.

Oh yeah, what are your hints and tips on disarming terrorists of their weapon without being stabbed yourself? I'm all ears...

Yep, and it opens the door to police being able to do whatever they like to whoever they like.

You might watch with glee when it’s someone you think “deserves it”? But what about when it’s not..

Because he still had a weapon ie the knife he used on his victims.
Also its standard training (in the military atleast) to use your hands to secure your own weapon and your feet to subdue the enemy/attacker if you dont want to shot them or no lethal tactics like a taker have not worked as in the case of this terrorist

This, the unarmed police did an amazing job. They had no idea what other weapons he might have on him.
