Would you judge some who’s clothing is mostly primark or supermarket brands

It’s me by the way and that’s the case for my clothes

I'd never judge you, I'm just the same. Head to toe Florence & Fred here, and not ashamed of it either. And just to infuriate the fashion police even further, I'm wearing Skechers slip-ins.

bridgetreilly · Today 19:41

I don’t shop at Primark but at least half my wardrobe is from Sainsburys or Tesco. So, no, I would not judge!

Trumpisacunt · Today 19:41

Wouldn't know unless you put your clothes on inside out and then I would definitely judge you for not checking in the mirror first .

usedtobeaylis · Today 19:42

No, that's normal, and how would anyone even know or be examining your clothes to that extent? It's totally normal.

Depends. If you were on a high wage and couldn’t be bothered to spend more, yes. If you couldn’t afford to buy more expensive clothes, no.

Couldn’t be bothered?

I think you mean ‘had different priorities than impressing the fashion police’.

How shallow

why would you care how someone chooses to spend their money

plus primark and supermarkets have very fashionable stuff these days

GlosGirl82 · Today 19:43

I LOVE supermarket - especially Tescos - some of nicest is from there. Even if I was a multimillionaire- would still wear my fave Tesco summer dress

WhereHasMyPlanetGone · Today 19:43

How would I know where your clothes were from to judge, without looking at the labels?

Curious as to why?

Shopping7777 · Today 19:44

I guess you can tell they are cheap

I don’t think you can

thewonderfulmrswatson · Today 19:45

Not at all. F&F at Christmas had the most gorgeous party dresses / tops i've seen in a while but I don't pay any mind to what people choose to wear.

ThisSunnyBee · Today 19:45

Morepositivemum · Today 19:35

That’s most people now! Who can afford anything else?! And who notices?

It isn't and literally millions of people

HurdyGurdy19 · Today 19:46

I honestly wouldn't have a clue if someone was wearing Gucci or George at Asda. Nor would I care, really.

Definitely no judgement from me.

Chewbecca · Today 19:46

I have no idea where friends buy their clothes. I don't know how to tell!

CaptainMyCaptain · Today 19:46

Wolfiefan · Today 19:35

How would I even know? And why would it matter?

This.

MandemChickenShop · Today 19:46

Is this an ethical question?

Fast fashion is unsustainable and consumers mindlessly supporting it need to give their heads a wobble.

However, this isn't exactly the same as buying clothes at a supermarket, if you cherish them, are selective of material choice and use them for very many years. But this would be atypical I suppose.

Community Clothing and charity shops only for me.

Monolithique · Today 19:46

Wouldn't notice.

I was recently complimented on a top i was wearing- i said 'it's from Tu'. What i didn't add is 'via a charity shop'

mynameiscalypso · Today 19:46

I think there’s definitely some stuff in Primark etc that looks cheap but it’s generally because of the material. I tend to think that cheap knitwear can be a bit of a con too because it goes bobbly so quickly. But you can also get some great quality clothes there too - Tu jeans are great, for example, and I have some excellent linen t shirts that I got in Primark a few years ago and look as good as new.

Angelchick1971 · Today 19:46

I'd judge you by whether you were a twat or not!

monkeysox · Today 19:47

No. Wouldn't care or notice

whatifs1 · Today 19:47

Erm no!? Have you seen some of the clothes that the likes of Tu and F&F put out now!? Sooo much better than in the past.

also I can’t think of something I care less about. Don’t fret!

Funnywonder · Today 19:47

I’d be right behind you in the queue buying clothes from Sainsbury’s and Tesco. Not a fan of Primark, even though I used to work in it, but wouldn’t know or care if anyone wore stuff from there. I’m in NI and we have Dunnes, an Irish store (I think there are a few branches in other parts of the UK) and I prefer it to Primark. Similar prices, better quality. Smaller range and probably not as fashionable though!

avocadotofu · Today 19:48

No, I definitely wouldn’t. I don’t even think I’d be able to tell!

Lol, nearly my whole wardrobe is Sainsburys!!
