It’s me by the way and that’s the case for my clothes

Depends. If you were on a high wage and couldn’t be bothered to spend more, yes. If you couldn’t afford to buy more expensive clothes, no.

So is that about the ethics of fast fashion, or do you view clothing as a status symbol? If the latter, tbh I'd be far more likely to judge you for that than judge anyone (regardless of income) for dressing affordably during a cost of living crisis.

I have Primark and supermarket clothing in my wardrobe. I can afford to spend more on clothing, and sometimes do, but I buy things based on what I like and not what they cost. Anyone judging that is not someone whose opinion I particularly respect.

Well, Im currently head to toe in Primark! I bloody love their stuff.😁
Just so happens a big Primark is the only clothing shop in my town (that isnt skewed either very young or very old!).
I do shop supermarkets too but only via Vinted, and if I want to spend on more expensive brands I love I either wait for sales or buy through Vinted.

TBH Im more judgey about people who sneer at cheap clothes, esp if its followed by talks of 'must be cashmere' or 'only £500'. I just dont get the posh crowd!!LOL😆

Anyone who cares isn't worth having in your life. I buy all my clothes in charity shops and get quite a few compliments. I always tell people that I got my stuff in chsrity shops.
