Both the parents outside with the kids, several kids running around screaming at 6.30am. Do people have no shame?

OP posts:
Whodunnit508 · 05/04/2026 07:35

It’s amusing nit weird

AliceAbsolum · 05/04/2026 06:54

But it will have risked waking up like 15 people on a Sunday? How is that fine?

Seriously, is being woken at 6.30am the worst thing you can imagine happening?

So many intolerant people on MN.

PersonalJaysus · 05/04/2026 07:35

It’s completely fucking selfish but then judging by comments so are half of you

Coffeeandbooks88 · 05/04/2026 06:52

Weird comment.

Is it too early for your sense of humour?

DarkForces · 05/04/2026 07:38

SUUUUUUNNNNN · 05/04/2026 07:34

Ah another one who asks AIBU when they won't hear of another side.

what other side? Do memories fail to be made after 8am?

JMSA · 05/04/2026 07:38

They are selfish, entitled bastards. Their children’s right to fun does not trump your right to sleep!
Anyone who thinks you’re unreasonable honestly needs their head examined.

If it was me I'd be feeling so guilty and anxious if I was outside with them for some reason. Do people not feel like that? Or ignore the emotion? Or maybe the children wanted to do it at 6.30am and they have no boundaries.

Guilty and anxious? They are strong emotions for a small misdemeanor!

I think 6:30 is too early for an outside Easter hunt, but I don't think they'll be feeling guilty and anxious, if they did feel that way they wouldn't do it.

There isn't one fixed rule about everything, and I'm ok with that. They've done this activity a bit early, but it isn't threatening so I wouldn't be too perturbed.

Flamingojune · 05/04/2026 07:39

Didnt the bible say love thy neighbour not piss em off

Hippee · 05/04/2026 07:41

Its what Jesus would have wanted

🤣🤣🤣

Drew79 · 05/04/2026 07:42

Maybe they have a reason, they have to travel somewhere early.
Not breaking the law, at least the kids sound like the they're having fun, their parents made the effort to buy eggs and organise something.
So many fuddy duddy's on here.

GetOffTheCounter · 05/04/2026 07:43

Thankfully our DCs are teens so they are both still in bed muttering 'later' when I spoke of the eggs waiting for them.

I''m an early riser (5.33 this morning) but that would piss me off also as it's just inconsiderate. There's a reason why there are noise regulations on Sundays.

daisychain01 · 05/04/2026 07:44

I expect those kids have been stuffing chocolate since 4am and are so hyper their parents are letting them burn it off by running around outside rather than bouncing off the walls inside.

a bit much at 630 am!

Megifer · 05/04/2026 07:44

Coffeeandbooks88 · 05/04/2026 07:19

It is disrespectful.

To who? Jesus? I dont think fictitious people are bothered by humour.

AliasGrape · 05/04/2026 07:45

We had a false start at 5 but managed hold DD off till 6.30 when we did our egg hunt - it was in the house though apart from one clue that led us outside - the weather was too crap to do more outside but if it had been all out there we’d definitely have waited until later.

No screeching involved, in fact we had to be silent when we crept outside in case the bunny was still around delivering to other children and we scared him off.

I do think 6.30 is a bit early for the full thing with multiple kids and lots of noise.

Bunnycat101 · 05/04/2026 07:45

I was out hiding eggs at 6am this morning. My kids won’t be out until 8am through. That is earlier than is normally let them out but it’s one day a year and they’ve been told not to scream.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 05/04/2026 07:00

Doesn’t the sound of children’s laughter fill you with joy on this beautiful spring morning?!

I wish it was a beautiful spring morning, we have Storm Dave here! But yes OP that would annoy me too

Drew79 · 05/04/2026 07:46

Revoltingpheasants · 05/04/2026 07:06

That’s really early. I guess it’s difficult as it’s their garden and probably been up hours <eyes DD>

I’ve been finding my kids a pain with the garden since the clocks went forward; it’s nigh on impossible to get them in from it at evening time. Even when they are turning blue 🙄

That's bloody great they love being outdoors so much, rather than sat indoors all the time looking at a screen

backagainohdear · 05/04/2026 07:46

I would of chucked a pan of water out of the window. 😂 6.30am is unholy time!

Jesus Christ!

Tel12 · 05/04/2026 07:47

No, it's not ok. It's really inconsiderate.

It isn’t either or @Drew79 ! It’s a pain in the arse when it’s actually bedtime. Yes, in MN land they go to bed an hour later and wake up an hour later, but in the real world that isn’t what happens.

They don’t have much screen time at all to be fair (although they are sort of watching moana now.)

Coffeeandbooks88 · 05/04/2026 06:52

Weird comment.

Hilarious comment 😂

Revoltingpheasants · 05/04/2026 07:50

I’m not lacking a sense of humour but I’m honestly lost as to the ‘roflmao’ to use a very 2000s phrase responses to that. It … makes NO SENSE. Or is that the ‘joke’?

It’s ment to be funny - well it made me laugh anyway!
