Both the parents outside with the kids, several kids running around screaming at 6.30am. Do people have no shame?

Doesn’t the sound of children’s laughter fill you with joy on this beautiful spring morning?!

6.30am on Sunday? I wouldn't welcome the sound of unicorns dancing with fairies let alone screaming children

Weird comment.

No it’s humour.

Selttan · 05/04/2026 07:03

I’ll take this over the people singing at the top of their voices at 2:45 this morning.

I was being sarcastic 🙃

Its what Jesus would have wanted

😂😂😂😂

Take this event in a positive light: all kids want to run around screaming outside at 6.30 am (or whenever they wake up) every single day of the year. And parents manage to wrangle them the other 364 times.
Enjoy your day!

Revoltingpheasants · 05/04/2026 07:06

That’s really early. I guess it’s difficult as it’s their garden and probably been up hours <eyes DD>

I’ve been finding my kids a pain with the garden since the clocks went forward; it’s nigh on impossible to get them in from it at evening time. Even when they are turning blue 🙄

Bristolandlazy · 05/04/2026 07:06

I think that's rude and selfish at any time of year. I used to keep my children at a considerate volume, inside the house until at least nine at weekends and even then if they started shouting or screaming in the garden I'd tell them to come in. Remind them not everyone is awake.
The parents could of easily put a film on, or had an inside egg hunt.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 05/04/2026 07:07

Its was like the end of days here last night with the wind and now its chucking it down so there isn't going to be any outdoor egg hunting any time soon. I'm not looking forward to parkrun!

Kids should’ve been watching Jesus of Nazareth quietly and been traumatised by the execution.

TeenToTwenties · 05/04/2026 07:09

Yes it is inconsiderate.

Like adults setting off fireworks after 8.30pm.

Well actually not like that. Setting fireworks off after children's bedtime is way more inconsiderate to a wider area and to animals.

Waitingforthecold · 05/04/2026 07:09

Oh my god this is so miserable! It’s once a year, for a few year max. Your kids are only little once, make some memories with them

KittyHigham · 05/04/2026 07:09

"It's only once a year" is ridiculous. If people lack consideration for an easter egg hunt they'll lack consideration on other occasions. Shitty and unnecessary.

SweetnsourNZ · 05/04/2026 07:12

Would be still dark here in New Zealand. Too early for me. Do they go to church on Easter? Maybe it was a before church activity.

I have a lifetime of fabulous memories and grew up being taught to be considerate at the same time. And I brought up my dc the same. It's not either or.

itsgettingweird · 05/04/2026 07:13

Well yes it’s inconsiderate to wake people at 6.30am.

however it’s eater day. It happens once a year. Like Christmas Day and the kids are up even earlier or awake all night.

me and my dd are up and out everyday at 4.30am and I’m very conscious of my neighbours who are equally conscious of the fact they are up until midnight and walk their dog at 10pm when I’m in bed at 8/9pm.

sometimes you have to just manage the emotions around disturbing others. Much easier for 1 day a year.

You’ve got to be joking. Most families with kids I know barely set foot inside a church even the ones who’ve been christened or go eg at Christmas.

Revoltingpheasants · 05/04/2026 07:15

me and my dd are up and out everyday at 4.30am dare I ask WHY?

They're not my child. She's 14 and has made a scrapbook of all the lovely memories she has and we still managed not to piss off the neighbours.

Rituelec · 05/04/2026 07:16

Annoying but its once a year

I was going to ask this. Surely by out you mean in the garden, not out of the house?

Revoltingpheasants · 05/04/2026 07:17

Even in the garden I would be wtf 😂

PermanentTemporary · 05/04/2026 07:17

Yeah that’s grim. I’d say kids indoors until 8am weekday, 9am weekend, then outdoors as much as possible.

I wouldn’t complain, because kids doing something outside at 630am means parents up since 5 presumably, poor sods. But yes, it’s not ok.

What used to kill me was finally getting out to the playground at 830am and finding it deserted- I cannot have been the only parent who’d been up since sparrowfart.
