Am I overreacting to DH’s April Fools??

This morning DH took the dog for a walk and he came back covered in “blood” and so was the dog. He came back “hysterical” and told me the dog had been savagely attacked by another dog. I was in panic mode and I ran over to next doors as she is a vet to see what to do. When we both came back from hers to the dog, DH says “April Fools” which I (and she) found extremely irritating. The blood he got from the cupboard Halloween storage. I felt humiliated, embarrassed and didn’t find it funny at all. He thinks I’m being a spoil sport!

April Fools jokes are supposed to be about something amusing and inconsequential. Not about a beloved pet being attacked..

It was a joke - that's all! No harm intended. I actually think the funniest part was when OP got the neighbour involved (even though it was a little cruel of OPs DH to let it get that far). OP was totally had! I bet he's still laughing about it all.
