Ambulances Set on Fire in Suspected Anti Jewish Attack

Horrible news that ambulances run by a Jewish charity have been set on fire in Golders Green today.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwyj1p49gdpo

AIBU to feel it's got to to with the rise in anti Jewish hate since the allowance of horrible slogans on the weekly marches and in everyday society? What on earth makes people commit such a horrible attack.

I'm 100% with the Jewish community and pray for peace.

To accuse those who disagreed with you and challenged you "flying monkeys", isn't just dismissive and rude, @BlueJuniper94 , it suggests that we are part of some sort of conspiracy as well.

PandoraSocks · 27/03/2026 10:54

Ooopo · 27/03/2026 10:40

people like you do concern me, you encourage conspiracy theories and antisemitic tropes

Exactly.

NormasArse · 27/03/2026 11:01

DaisyDooley · 23/03/2026 10:01

Do you mean the ordinary Palestinians who crowded onto the streets and cheered with joy at the sight of kidnapped Jews and cheering at the broken raped bodies of murdered young women?
Do you men those ordinary Jew hating Palestinians?
What happens there is half a world away -yet it has spilled onto our streets by constant dreadful marches, racist threatening chants, Muslim groups not being proscribed because our Government is too scared of loosing the Muslim vote.

I don’t understand why we as a society are not doing more to support Jews .
I also don’t understand why the white people who broke the law during the Southport riots were quickly hauled into court and sentenced - yet I have yet to read about any Muslims being charged with anything despite doing the same and worse.

Why the stupid Prime Minister is ‘shocked’ is beyond me - what does he think will happen when he lets people march on the streets threatening rape and death to Jews and British people and get away with it week after sodding week??

I mean the children who have done absolutely nothing to deserve the life they now have- just like the Jewish children here who are now being bullied for their faith.

I think we should be doing everything we can to support innocents on both sides.

BlueJuniper94 · 27/03/2026 10:19

What have I claimed?

You've claimed that the ambulance attack was "fishy" but it's not clear what you think is fishy about it - do you mean because it didn't seem to be aimed at maximising Jewish deaths?

Maybe that's just a different technique they're trying, especially as they seem to be a new group? This group may have decided that multiple deaths in western European countries are likely to harm their popularity in those places, which has some logic to it, TBF.

Are there any other "fishy" aspects that you can name?

Humdingerydoo · 27/03/2026 11:05

@BlueJuniper94 You seem to be trying to convince us that repeating antisemitic tropes isn't antisemitic. But it is. Very much so.

I am honestly terrified of people like you who aren't aware that what they're saying is antisemitic. Who won't listen when told that what they're saying is antisemitic. Who is refusing to take the time to understand that what they're saying is antisemitic. Who claims they're not the enemy, but makes antisemitic statements and then doubles down on them instead of listening.

It's particularly weird because your initial goal on here seemed to be to try and deflect from the idea it was an Islamist attack as you didn't want Muslims to get hated on. So your solution was to make antisemitic suggestions to encourage Jewish people to get hated on instead. It's incredibly upsetting and demoralising, to be honest. There is no need to throw Jewish people under the bus to defend Muslims. We're not opposites. It's possible to support people of both religions without it being some kind of contradiction.

BlueJuniper94 · 27/03/2026 10:35

It was idle speculation after several posts and just a consideration of other angles. If I was Jewish in the UK my concern wouldn't be about someone like me, I was just trying to be objective - you have far bigger things to worry about. I am your friend.

I think you’ll find that Jewish people in the UK are very concerned about people like you. And about you specifically.

My enemies I can deal with; God save me from my ‘friends’.

Exactly this. Plenty of Muslims, including Sadiq Khan, have condemned this attack, and called it for what it is.

’your little circus’ etc

What’s going on? Your claims are bizarre and so far baseless.

"your little circus"
All these strange conspiracy accusations.

Same here. Very odd, bearing in mind the posts, to claim "friendship".

And not just Jewish people. Those conspiracy theories are damaging.

Very. It's people getting their "information" from tiktok and Facebook about all sorts of topics. Usually antisemitic, misogynist, homophobic, Islamophobic and anti migrant.
"Just an opinion"? Right.

When an anonymous stranger on the internet says 'I am your friend', my spidey senses tingle.

Maybe I have trust issues but aibu used to be bunfight central...before the citme board.

But these aren't two opposing sides. The Jewish children here in the UK aren't in some way opposite the Gazan children a half world away. They have nothing to do with each other. There's no reason for you to think about them as some sort of related issue.

I suppose if you'd like to say Palestine versus Israel or Hamas versus Netanyahu there's some sort of relation, albeit complicated and probably worth more nuance, but Jewish children in the UK have literally nothing to do with any of that.

Why do you think the two are related? That's the logic of islamic terrorists who attack a concert in England because of the UK's supposed actions about Syria, or the London 2005 bombings which were about Falluja. Are you really saying that's an understandable approach?

They haven’t said anything of the kind
The poster wants peace for innocent children

Why not try and see kindness past the mist

Agree but there’s nothing wrong with civilised discussion
the problem is when people don’t like discussing anything
That's blinkered

I think the term pot kettle black is relevant here

I was challenging that poster's use of the term "flying monkeys" to refer to posters who disagreed with them.

Yet that poster has had worse accusations throughout this thread
Taking offence at one without drawing attention to far worse is interesting
