Ambulances Set on Fire in Suspected Anti Jewish Attack

Horrible news that ambulances run by a Jewish charity have been set on fire in Golders Green today.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwyj1p49gdpo

AIBU to feel it's got to to with the rise in anti Jewish hate since the allowance of horrible slogans on the weekly marches and in everyday society? What on earth makes people commit such a horrible attack.

I'm 100% with the Jewish community and pray for peace.

Why are you so quick to post (even for the first time) that maybe it's Mossad? This is not just insulting as an anti Jewish trope but deflects from the truth.
In case you aren't aware Iran has plenty of 'useful idiots' (as described in a newspaper this morning) here in the UK and elsewhere to carry out terrorist attacks on Jews.

What have I claimed?

What is fishy?

Can you explain what you mean

ScarlettOYara · 27/03/2026 10:20

I'm not "going on" about it. Deal with the argument, not the poster.
It's lucky no-one was hurt.

It was clearly the intention nobody was hurt. Terrorists do a speciality in trying to maximise casualties, that's the whole point of the excercise. Clearly that is not what is going on here.

Nobody let's off a bomb in a crowd and thinks "oh, it's unlucky so many people were hurt". I can't take this level of disingenuous 'reasoning' seriously.

How do you know what the "intention" of the perpetrators was?

Wow. You clearly know more about terrorists than the rest of us do! How do you know that there was no intention to hurt anybody? Thanks to the fire bombing windows were blown out of the adjacent flats where innocent people live. Do you seriously think they weren't harmed.
People are aren't only physically affected by terrorist attacks; the psychological effects are often far harder to heal.

ScarlettOYara · 27/03/2026 10:28

It would seem to be to be the opposite of disingenuous to get reports from reliable news sources, listen to the Met Police, fire inspectors, anti terror officers reports, and conclude what the PM has announced.
Perhaps you don't understand the level of forensics which go on, even with regular arson events, never mind suspected terror ones.
It's worse than "disingenuous" to ignore evidence and just go for blaming Jews.

Terrorists do not always try to maximise casualties. Their aim is to induce terror (the clue is in the name) and reach their aims that way.

They can do this by killing people, injuring people, kidnapping people, threatening people, intimidating them or their children, beating them up, killing their pets, or destroying or damaging their property or things that matter to them on an emotional or symbolic level (such a firebombing an empty synagogue).

You ask elsewhere 'What have I claimed?'
You didn't claim as such, but you put out the strong suggestion that the attack on Hatzolah was perhaps a 'false flag' or for insurance. This plays directly into anti-Jewish tropes (scheming Jews, greedy Jews), and that was why your comment was reported and deleted.

Whether you know it or not, you are spouting antisemitic BS and that makes you dangerous, especially now when British Jews are, rightly, deeply concerned and worried.

It was an invitation to discuss in a sane and rational manner, not to peddle antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Baseless misinformation doesn’t help and it looks aimed at the victims in this case.

It was idle speculation after several posts and just a consideration of other angles. If I was Jewish in the UK my concern wouldn't be about someone like me, I was just trying to be objective - you have far bigger things to worry about. I am your friend.

It's interesting that your "idle speculation" and looking at "other angles" came up with blaming Jews.

I asked a question, that is not giving misinformation, at no point have I attempted to persuade anyone of this potential avenue of investigation. This is getting very very silly

But you’re not Jewish and believe me we don’t need your friendship. Your “idle speculation” feeds into antisemitic tropes and is part of the problem. You’ve been told that and clearly either don’t care or it’s your intention. Take your pick.
