Horrible news that ambulances run by a Jewish charity have been set on fire in Golders Green today.

AIBU to feel it's got to to with the rise in anti Jewish hate since the allowance of horrible slogans on the weekly marches and in everyday society? What on earth makes people commit such a horrible attack.

I don't know how any decent person could possibly excuse or defend this. These were ambulances. This was a charity. It absolutely beggars belief that people would target and destroy them, or that anyone would think it's in the least excusable.

Attacking a charity's ambulances is surely one of the lowest acts.

So what about non-Jews who also support Israel? What about people who support Israel's right to exist while also thinking this was is a bloody nightmare? I think the jump from 'this war and leadership is terrible' to 'this nation should not exist' is deeply problematic. I certainly don't think the United States or the UK or Iran should cease to exist because of terrible leadership and potentially problematic historical choices.

Well, we don't know who they were. In one of the flats next door there were 4 little children asleep, who were fortunately evacuated before the explosions.
