My cousin told me that her 90yo dad watches 'Babestation' (ugh, makes me feel queasy just typing that word).
He asked her to fix his phone at the weekend and she saw he had 572 you tube videos on it, some thumbnail stills showing close ups of young women's crotches (clothed).
She was upset and said she couldn't believe that a man of his age was looking at stuff like that. She also told me (which I didn't know before) that in the 60s/70s he used to go to the pub on work lunch times and Sunday afternoons to watch strippers.
I said I agree that it's gross, but try not to judge him, but she wasn't happy with me about that and she left. She hasn't returned my text messages since then.
I am going to give her a few days to process what's happened, then try to contact her again.
But AIBU to also be grossed out by the thought of my aged uncle perving over young women?

You're both wrong. She's wrong in saying 'a man of his age' because the role of pervy creep doesn't age discriminate.

Because it sounds like she's had half a century of knowing her father is a creep who objectified women, and naively hoped he'd aged out of it by now and was shocked and upset. To have a friend scold her for judging rather than empathise was probably the last thing she needed.

No, I'm early thirties with a dh also in his early thirties. When I was 18 my boyfriend was 18, and so on. If a 90 year old had a 20 year old girlfriend, people would think it was gross.

Of course, women can perve over men too. But they don't (in my experience anyway) drool or cat call after school boys or wank on the tube/bus or in the cinema. They're the least likely to watch extreme and violent pornography or bestiality too. And they rarely ditch their DH just because they've found someone half his age. They're also far less likely to get hooked on porn and then claim to be sex addicts or to try and grope the male office junior in the lift at every opportunity.

You really wont be 'fancying' 90 year old men, even if your partner is still alive, you'll love him yes, as he will you but we are programmed to find young people attractive and by young I mean people who are fertile and active. Generally 20s to 40s.
