I can’t lie, Home Bargains. I just love it.

John Lewis, unquestionably.

ImDoneOnceAndForAll2 · 31/01/2026 14:22

Home bargains 🤣

HushTheNoise · 31/01/2026 14:23

Tebay services, amazing food!

TimeForATerf · 31/01/2026 14:24

M&S within walking distance or a market like Bury market within walking distance.

BarbarianBabs · 31/01/2026 14:24

Lidl!

Judgejudysno1fan · 31/01/2026 14:25

Lidl on one side.
Primark on the other side. Happy days.

DistractMe · 31/01/2026 14:25

A decent artisan bakery

Wildywondrous · 31/01/2026 14:26

TkMaxx, I love their random stock, sometimes I can't find a single thing i like there and other times I could buy half the shop.

We're getting a B&M soon which will be a 5 minute walk so that'll be handy too.

andjustlikethat1 · 31/01/2026 14:28

Definitely Harrods’ only after I win the lottery Halo

HeadyLamarr · 31/01/2026 14:28

Booths. Although I'd be bankrupt within a year.

Wildywondrous · 31/01/2026 14:29

For those who have said Lidl what do you recommend from there?
A local one has just opened and I've been in but couldn't find anything that I fancied, we've already got an Aldi.
I'd been told the bakery was amazing so I had a croissant and it was nice but no better than Morrisons.

EchoedSilence · 31/01/2026 14:30

Home Bargains.

Allseeingallknowing · 31/01/2026 14:30

M&S

yorkshiretoffee · 31/01/2026 14:31

M&S Food. An enormous one!

2phat2phaf · 31/01/2026 14:32

big Sainsbury's

Davros · 31/01/2026 14:32

I live less than 5 mins walk away from an M&S foodhall. It’s closing for 3 months at the end of February for a refurb. I don’t know what I’m going to do! I’ll have to plan ahead and use the car

ShortberryStrawcake · 31/01/2026 14:32

If money was no object it would be a giant M&S with food, home & clothing.

Judging · 31/01/2026 14:34

M&S Simply Food. It’s where we do all our food shopping.

Knitterofcrap · 31/01/2026 14:35

I chose my house because it’s a 15 minute walk from a HUMUNGOUS M&S

Frequency · 31/01/2026 14:36

M&S Food. I love their snacks and salads, and we don't have one in our town.

Booths. Although I'd be bankrupt within a year.

I live 3 mins' drive from one branch of Booths and work round the corner from another Grin. I go there a lot, but never for a full shop, or I definitely would be bankrupt!

RedRec · 31/01/2026 14:39

Hobbycraft

Chickadiddy · 31/01/2026 14:44

Primark.

I'm easily pleased.

Booths. Although I'd be bankrupt within a year.

Same, but what a year!

LardoBurrows · 31/01/2026 14:45

Well, obviously it has to be Fortnum and Mason darling.

But until I win the Euro lottery, I will satisfy myself with a large Waitrose.
