my partner doesn’t shower often enough, I mean he can go days without showering and putting clean boxers on,
I’ve mention it so many times but his excuse is he doesn’t have time as he has the gym then work but there is time and I just lost it today and told him he’s being lazy and it’s off putting cos he smells.
he thinks I shouldn’t have called him lazy cos he really doesn’t have time but he does have plenty time.

Of course he has time- that is disgusting.🤮

I don’t understand how you can be active enough to go to the gym but too lazy to shower after and also so completely mental that you’d actually then go to work? He must wfh

It doesn’t even take 5 minutes to have a quick shower, it is down to pure laziness. Doesn’t matter how busy you are hygiene should be a priority and fit in somewhere, especially if he’s going to the gym and getting all sweaty. It could be a deal breaker for me as I can’t cope with smelly people.

You tell him you don't like him not showering and he does nothing. No change made. You then carry on regardless so he's won. No need for change

he wouldn’t care others would smell him he does a quick spray of deodorant and spray of aftershave before work. It is the same with teeth they only get done if he showers
he does have about 2 hours after this before work but he wants to just chill as he works long days but feel like I nag, he does like to tell me I smell when I know I don’t as I shower twice a day😂

Basic hygiene is a given in any relationship. It's about respect. Who wants to be intimate with someone who thinks a whiff of deodorant makes you smell better.

You absolutely should not be expected to put up with this. If he won't change you have 2 options: live a life of stench, grime and unnecessary germs, or live a clean and happy life.
