Obviously multiple versions of events being thrown about as it's very fresh.

If you come to be in possession of a weapon and you do not know what state it is in, it is good practice to unload it and then fire it in a safe direction to ensure that there isn't a round left in the chamber. This is to prevent accidents.

This particular aspect is not one which concerns me, unlike the blatant murder committed by the other officers.

Absolutely barbaric. The Trump administration should hang their heads in shame and anyone who voted for this fascist madman seriously needs to question their own integrity. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who was murdered in cold blood. I fear for anyone living in the US if they cannot prove on the spot that they are a legal resident.

These killings are all part of the plan. Trump wants ICE to be unnecessary violent. Career ICE staff are worried they'll lose their jobs/pensions if they don't unnecessarily manhandle people - new members are a mix of thugs and the untrained. Deaths are inevitable. Protests will happen. He will try to cancel elections.

We'll know come November whether the US is dead or not.

Absolutely not my area of expertise, I just thought if there was any sort of investigation, being able to prove the weapon was a threat ( loaded ) would be quite important ?

The news on R4 is only broadcast at 6pm & 10pm on Saturday evenings, so it's understandable why you hadn't heard any bulletins.

However, it's a little bit strange to then criticise the BBC for a lack of reporting if you don't watch iPlayer live or have a TV, as you obviously can't see the amount of airtime & reporting they have been doing on this for weeks. R4, R5, The World Service along with Americast, The Global Story & Newscast have been reporting on this for weeks. Strangely enough they can't report based on videos shared on social media without proper verification. They fact check.
