If you have a 10 year old how old are you/how old was your mother when you were 10

I’m 26 with a 10 year old, but when I was 10 my mother was 50. Feels very strange, I remember being my son’s age and very aware my mother was way older than the other mothers.

It was the other way round for me: when my son was 10, I was 48. When I was 10 my mum was 31.
I was always pleased my mum was young, but though I know I'm on the older side, I don't feel like an 'old' mum.

I think 23 is young and had friends who became pregnant as teens. Early 20s is young to me. My parents thought I waited too long but I was in a way better place than they were when I had DS1 at 28.

I think there are lots of 10 year olds with 50 year old mums, and if anything your son would be aware that his mum is much younger than the other mothers.

When I am the age my mother was when she had me my son will be 24 which is only 2 years younger than I am now. He doesn’t seem aware yet but I remember learning most my friends mums were ten or even twenty years younger than mine and being a little jealous

It's going to be pretty common nowadays to have a 50 year old mum at 10, especially if you're a second/third child.

For what is worth, I'll be 47 when my son turns 10 and my mum would have been 44.

My daughter is 10. Her mum is 42 and I'm 43. When I was 10 my mum was 40 and my dad was 41.

Not much change between generations here.
