They edited a Trump speech to make him look like he said something he did not.

They pushed one side of the transgender debate relentlessly, deliberately hiding negative stories on detransitioners, the US WPATH file and thousands of more cases

Today the BBC Director and News Director have both quit in absolute disgrace.

It is time the BBC was consigned to the dustbin because we are never getting back to the BBC I loved and trusted, the one that ran programmes to inform and entertain and educate, that BBC is long gone.

The BBC is our national broadcaster and at one point the news was seen across the world as the gold standard of journalistic integrity.

For it to lose its credibility as being impartial is shocking and completely playing into the hands of those like Trump who decry fake news at the drop of hat as in this case it’s been proven to be true.

We should be able to trust its journalistic output as otherwise we will be left with media controlled by the billionaires rather than the people.

The Telegraph article states this:

Yes but you don't have to pay for Netflix to be allowed to watch other channels. It's the funding model for the BBC that is the issue.

Not only is this unacceptable behaviour by the BBC but it has given credibility to actual conspiracy theories which is the last thing we need.

well, turns out it wasn't a conspiracy theory at all - was a fact.

For most of my 70 years, I have trusted BBC News to tell the truth. I know people who work for the BBC. My auntie and uncle spent their entire careers there, in craft skills (make up and lighting). But politics work their way in and R4 in particular is highly political. I still love it but the people hired to broadcast on it, while clever and thoughtful, reflect London and the big cities rather than "little England" and we should remember that little England's small towns and provinces still represent over 80% of the population. The BBC is losing that focus.

The news is relatively reliable, although mistakes are made, I dont think they should lose the license fee because of it 😭

i think the individuals in question, as well as the bosses, should face punitive fines. They were in jobs paid by the taxpayer and should return some of the salaries they didn’t deserve. Utterly humiliating for the UK and the BBC.

they are not covering law cases that are ongoing just now that will shape the law. They could have covered the Supreme Court ruling that biological sex is immutable but they didn’t. They have an agenda. TBH it is a totally indefensible agenda that men should be able to stipp off in front of women and insist that women strip off in front of them and if those women don’t do that they are transphobes.
