Thats it really, the BBC lied to us, all of us.

They edited a Trump speech to make him look like he said something he did not.

They pushed one side of the transgender debate relentlessly, deliberately hiding negative stories on detransitioners, the US WPATH file and thousands of more cases

https://archive.ph/wWdMS

https://archive.ph/uiEKW

They have cancelled people for wrong-think at every opportunity, pushed drag queens over women, turned woman hours into mens hour, constantly attacked anyone who does not share their extreme liberal left wing views and kept them off the news cycle

They have utterly and completely lost all trust, they ARE biased they DON'T give balance in the news

Everyone thought it was a conspiracy, now we know it's actually true and we have PROOF

Today the BBC Director and News Director have both quit in absolute disgrace.

It is time the BBC was consigned to the dustbin because we are never getting back to the BBC I loved and trusted, the one that ran programmes to inform and entertain and educate, that BBC is long gone.

Replace it, completely.

I'd pay for the radio and especially the World Service, but would opt out of the TV. Total drivel mostly.

Anyone who thinks Trump wasn't inciting his followers to storm the Capitol has an issue.

Editing Panorama that way was bad. But it isn't as if Trump didn't say what he was accused of saying.

Personally I don't trust the BBC - but that's because they're in the pockets of the right.

"it isn't as if Trump didn't say what he was accused of saying."

To use your own phrase - that's utter bollocks.

If you'd said "I love my kids but I hate my ex so much" and someone cut it so that you just said "I love my ex so much" would you say that hadn't altered the meaning of your words?

I don't give a fuck about Trump, but they have managed to expose misogony and racism in the Met, 2 care workers have been charged with abuse because of a Panorama investigation. Remember Trump is a fraudster who should be in prison taking care he doesn't drop the soap

InterestedDad37 · 09/11/2025 20:53

SingleSexSpacesInSchools · 09/11/2025 20:34

Except we have the proof that actually, it has proven left wing, liberal clique views, to the core. Proof.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
90% of the comedy, maybe, but otherwise that's just rubbish 🤣

CalmShaker · 09/11/2025 20:53

LivingTheDreamish · 09/11/2025 19:58

I absolutely agree with the appalling bias in news reporting (especially the strong anti-Semitic tone) and all its other transgressions (that nonsense over pregnant people) and I'm glad it came to a head today with the resignations. I would hope the BBC can rebuild from here because I'm not ready to be without them. The whole point of the BBC is that as the national broadcaster it is supposed to be staunchly neutral. It's not (currently) but we can at least expect and demand that of the beeb.

Completely agree with this.

Also, you can be certain there will be a lot more that now surfaces from the leaked report. I think the majority of people have realised and seen the decline of the BBC in recent years. The trans untouchable wall of any criticism is now under scrutiny.

Pleasealexa · 09/11/2025 20:54

ThatCyanCat · 09/11/2025 20:46

The people who need to resign won't.

Exactly! On another thread someone picked up that the BBC edited comments by Kemi to remove the reference to Trans ideology.

TODAY!!! when they are under intense scrutiny over their bais they demonstrate clear bias. It's actually mind blowing.

How bloody dare they censor comments that mention biological reality.

pointythings · 09/11/2025 20:54

TheKeatingFive · 09/11/2025 20:27

They didn't alter the meaning though. Trump said what he meant and he meant what he said

They did however. If you can't understand why journalists can't just pick n mix words like this, then I cannot help you. You are clueless.

I said it did not have to be edited that way, and so there is no need for you to be so rude.

But in the grand scheme of things, this happens all over the world. The likes of Fox do it on the daily. GBeebies are the same. If you want to throw away the BBC over it, go for it - but be very careful what you wish for.

ArabellaSaurus · 09/11/2025 20:54

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 09/11/2025 19:48

I want a strong, independent national broadcaster.

They need to do some soul searching.

Same. I fiercely support the principles of the BBC, but it needs to actually work by and observe those principles.

When it starts interfering in politics like it has - seeking to influence the US election by doctoring footage, ffs! - it becomes a force for malignant falsehood, not good.

This and the way it has churned out agit-prop and lied by omission over 'gender' issues are, imo, symptomatic of an organisation that is rotten through and through.

I dont' want it to be dismantled, though. I want it to be rebuilt, from first principles.

ArabellaSaurus · 09/11/2025 20:56

DBSFstupid · 09/11/2025 20:52

Are you serious?😂

'He said those words, just not at that time, and not in that order'?

Well, that's fine, then.

Papyrophile · 09/11/2025 20:56

That Panorama edit of Trump's Capitol speech is the nail in the coffin. There's no comeback from that. I don't like Trump much, but there is no way that editing speeches to say something so false can be permitted.

There is a fundamental difference between a publicly-funded broadcaster and a private network.

The BBC, once a highly respected and trusted institution is no longer fit for purpose. Make it a subscription channel and see how many people will actually pay for the drivel they turn out 😵‍💫

absolutely

I don't want to throw away the BBC - read my posts.

But without serious improvement in their standards, it is not feasible for them to continue. They are not Fox news, they are paid for by the public and therefore must be held to the highest standards.

wiffin · 09/11/2025 21:00

OonaStubbs · 09/11/2025 20:30

The BBC is a waste of space and does not represent the views of the vast majority of the British public.

It's not there to represent anybodies views.

It should be there to tell an impartial truth.

They fucked up. Apparently.

But if you want to read new that supports your view, go watch GB news. If that's your political stripe. Maybe blue-sky if not

People aren't forced to pay a licence fee to watch GBNews or Fox. The licence fee is the issue. If the BBC was a normal channel they could do what they wanted and people could choose to pay for it or watch it or not. The market would decide.

Trump is now gloating about the resignations of Davie & Turness. How the hell has the BBC allowed itself to be in this position? How did it create the opportunity for a cretin like Trump to accuse it of ‘fake news’ then to be proved absolutely correct?

In exactly the same way the Democrats lost the Whitehouse. By thinking they knew better.

I think we need to give over with the whole left and right. None of those terms mean anything in the uk anymore.

Personally as with many people i hate trump and all he stands for.

as for the bbc. They are absolutely mysogynistic with the trans agenda. It is quite obvious that the seriously common sense court cases going through just now Sandi Peggy and the Darlington nurses will change the landscape. Common sense rather than bloody right or left. (Hopefully anyway).

All three of those cases are about to find overwhelmingly in favour of the females who lost their privacy and dignity to a man. You wouldn't think it was such a sure thing if you had only read the BBC.
