Also, and what amuses me as I am childish sometimes, is that poster would be harangued by TRAs themselves for not putting a space in between “trans” and “women”. Do better.

He won't do better. He's called himself CunningLinguist2 (I guess he wasn't the first to come up with that genius idea for a username) to enter a discussion about women's rights and when he's pulled up for thinking "no it's not" is an actual rebuttal, he starts accusing women of being the same as mansplainers, and you can just see how incredibly clever he thinks he's being. He told women they were acting like unpleasant men! Absolutely no reason or substance but he said it so it must be true! Oh how clever is the cunning linguist! Oh how marvellously he turns the women's arguments against thenselves! Oh how we are surely going to realise his genius!

It's worse than childishness, it's bloody adolescent. And men aren't women.

I didn't clock the username initially (these people all blend into one after a while) but after he started with the rather self-congratulatory "you are like a MANSPLAINER, guess women are just as bad as MEN" stuff, I thought, "That's a bit of a weird thing to say, even apart from the fact that it's totally without reason", looked at the username and, well, yeah.

Actually its trans identified men, a sub category of men. HTH.

I think you are probably right on that.

I was on a course run by a trans identifying man a couple of years ago and he recounted sitting on in an empty train carriage in his dress and wig when a group of noisy young men boarded. The TIM recalled feeling anxious that he'd be laughed at (although in the event he wasn't).
He was quite put out when I suggested that was the difference between a man and a woman - he was worried he'd be laughed at; a woman would be worried she'd be raped.

The username is an expression that I used to see used as a 'joke' by male students and - on one infamous occasion - a male lecturer at uni. It does make things rather obvious.

I find it interesting that in the body of his posts he's using a form of expression that is often deemed 'transphobic'.

It's an absolutely ancient gag. The dinosaurs went extinct because they died laughing at that one. Presumably he had to add the 2 to the username because he wasn't even the first one to use it here.

And of course he doesn't know what the trans community's preferred terms are because he isn't interested in transgenderism, he's interested in misogyny and he's noticed, correctly, that if he latches on to this ideology he can scold women and deny their rights while flattering himself that he's incredibly progressive and clever. Look at how clever he thought he was, shoehorning in UR MANSPLAINING like we were somehow being hoisted by our own petard.

And as ever, all he's doing is proving that he knows who the women are. From his prehistoric oral sex reference to his low energy argument by assertion to his pathetic belief that he has somehow inverted our arguments against us by accusing us of MANSPLAINING, that's what it all shows. He knows who the women are. Everyone does.
