People may choose to self-define as trans with no gender identity. However, that doesn’t mean that anyone with no gender identity must be trans.

I have no gender identity because I consider gender to be a misogynistic, capitalist tool of a profiteering patriarchy which actively harms women and children. The targeting of children in order to generate profits from a lifetime of unnecessary medicalisation is especially insidious. I refuse to define myself according to an ideology I totally object to.

I don’t have a Catholic identity either - that doesn’t mean I should self-define as a heathen. It’s simply an ideology which does not apply to me.

Goodness, what a very, very special person you are compared to all of us mindlessly gendered sheep (note that in deference to your clear superiority I have used the gender neutral 'sheep' and not ewes or rams).

Thanks to the intelligent, articulate witches of the Feminism - Sex and Gender board, I learned a new phrase: ad hominem. Arraminta’s response is a beautiful example.

So called transwomen are men. You know that.

Nope

AngryBird6122 · 02/11/2025 10:02

@CunningLinguist2 can I ask why you are so passionate about it? Why it’s so important to you?

Because they’re people like everyone else & deserve better. Both my immediate circle of friends, my kid’s friend and -yup perfect strangers. That’s why.

CunningLinguist2 · 02/11/2025 15:28

Namelessnelly · 02/11/2025 05:26

But surely, if trans means opposite side, youre just confirming that those you call”transwomen” are” the opposite of women. Which is men. I’m so glad you’re in agreement that those males with a trans identity are not and never will be women.

Don’t be daft. You know full well what I mean. Which is that I stand with transwomen. We won’t be in agreement & that’s fine. You do you :)

Deserve better than what?

Talkinpeace · 02/11/2025 15:47

Men who wish to present as what they consider to be female are welcome to do so
but they are not women.
Transwomen are by definition male.
They therefore need to not use spaces reserved for females.

When they accept the rights of actual women
and get other men to be more accepting of non conformity
life will settle down again

Of course they deserve better.

Which means that men should not be gaslighted into this pretence that they are women, or can pass as women. They should not be ill-treated by their fellow men, they should feel safe using spaces set apart for men, and not gaslighted into the fear that they are in any danger there. And if they are in danger in spaces set apart for men, then men need to be taught inclusivity and tolerance, rather than using women as service-humans to look after the men that other men reject. Trans-identifying people deserve better healthcare, not mutilating surgeries and untreated, off-licence drug regimes that will sterilise them, harm them and leave them patients for life.

Do you really believe that none of us have trans-identifying or gender-confused people in our lives? Or that we do not care for them and about them?

Stand with the men as much as you want, it’s hardly a new thing for women to throw other women under the bus to pander to them, is it?

Exactly. When people are suffering with anorexia we don't encourage and enable their erroneous and potentially dangerous beliefs. Doctors do not agree with them that they absolutely do need to lose even more weight and hand them a prescription for Ozempic.

Why do you people bother with this shite? You know you're talking nonsense, we know you're talking nonsense, you know we know and we know you know we know. You're like my kids when I ask them if they're trying to kill themselves by doing something stupid and they of course shout, "YES!" Obviously they're not, we all know it, they just don't want to have to say it. But they're primary school children who are sulky that Mum ruined their fun. What the hell is your excuse?

At least the people telling us we should give up our rights and protections and indulge male delusions because it would make us more honorable people aren't just telling us black is white while scowling and sticking out their lower lips. Honestly, what is the frigging point?

Oh awesome. So you’ll be fully open to using any third spaces. Jolly good. That will be a huge help to those men. I think your support of males with a trans identity says such a lot.

Where exactly do you stand with the TIMs? If it's in female single sex spaces, fortunately the SC has made it clear that they'll be standing in the gents...

Ihatetomatoes · 03/11/2025 10:23

CunningLinguist2 · 02/11/2025 15:25

Nope

You can deny reality but the majority of people use facts. There will always be deluded people around. Some people believe they are gods, others cats, others demons, or in a relationship with an inanimate object eg cars, and some believe they can change sex just by saying they can; all in the same category of deluded people. It's a bit sad, but up to them as long as they understand that everyone won't buy into their delutional thoughts.

Calling me childish and telling me what to think is not changing my stance or mind. If anything you come across as … mansplaining? And dictatorial? And belittling… which I guess isn’t reserved for men then :D Ah well.
Carry on.

I’m misspelling men who identify as women as “men”? I don’t really consider it a particularly meaningful distinction in the grand scheme of things, hope that helps.

No one expects you to change your stance or mind. The comment was spot on.

herbaltincture · 03/11/2025 23:27

It's so weird, because this idea of being 'a woman' they almost all seem to have is centred on being a sexually alluring/provocative woman, when most of being a woman is doing shitty housework jobs, picking up socks and jocks and wet towels, scrubbing toilets, raising lazy indifferent men's children from prior 'relationships', having painful periods, prolapses, and childbirth-induced incontinence, organising Christmas, birthdays, and everything else, caring for elderly parents, being shoved off the pavement by men once they pass the age of being sexually alluring, having lesser pay for the same jobs, etc etc etc.

Telling you what to think? Dictatorial? If you want to pretend men are women, that's up to you. But if you want us to pretend men are women, that's up to us. Do you understand what telling people what to think and being dictatorial means?

And of course just denying reality that you know as well as we do is totally childish. ("Nope!" Like that says anything!) That's why my kids do it. But like I said, they're children who got their fun ruined and don't have an answer. What is your excuse? What is the point? Of course you know they're men. That's why you make a point of standing with them, because you know the difference. If you didn't know they were men, you wouldn't know who to stand with.

And we don't care if you stand with men. We just don't want them standing in women's spaces. Stick to that and it's all golden, mate.

Not really a lot of point in complaining about posters calling you childish if you’re going to post comments like this, is there.
