AIBU to say it isn't unexpected, or a surprise?

Good riddance to bad rubbish

LeaAndDer · 05/09/2025 12:04

She was always going to have to resign. Good riddance, next I hope Two Tier resigns.

PropertyD · 05/09/2025 12:05

Good! She lied and lied about what she did. The most disgraceful thing is she tried to bring others down with her.

Dogosaurus · 05/09/2025 12:05

Good. She’s a fucking disgrace.

MauriceTheMussel · 05/09/2025 12:06

I cheered.

She lied. She knew what she was doing. The crocodile tears just pissed everyone off more.

Disingenuous hypocrite.

Viviennemary · 05/09/2025 12:06

Not before time.

PropertyD · 05/09/2025 12:07

That small conveyancing company came out fighting. I hope they become more and more successful due to the way they handled this.

Shame on Rayner for bringing her disabled son into all of this whilst using his trust to pay to live with her latest boyfriend.

RedRiverShore5 · 05/09/2025 12:07

Good riddance

Is that really, exactly what she did?

olderandnonthewiser · 05/09/2025 12:08

Shouldnt be an MP either imo. Liars and cheats shouldn’t be in office.

Nopenousername · 05/09/2025 12:08

You are not being unreasonable

Bluelilacbella · 05/09/2025 12:08

Shame on her for wanting to blame the conveyancing company!

BananaPeels · 05/09/2025 12:08

great. Just goes to show you reap what you sow in opposition! Lesson for all aspiring politicians!

ainsleysanob · 05/09/2025 12:08

Excellent news!

Heylittlesongbird · 05/09/2025 12:09

It’s so Animal Farm.

MathiasBroucek · 05/09/2025 12:09

The regs are a little complex but she was literally the Housing Minister. Had to go

FlappyFish · 05/09/2025 12:09

About time. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Angela.

ajandjjmum · 05/09/2025 12:09

A little more serious than eating a slice of birthday cake. She deserved to go.

ilovesooty · 05/09/2025 12:09

Cue the gloating. I look forward to Farage resigning due to the house in Clacton registered in his partner's name in order to avoid stamp duty payments.

PropertyD · 05/09/2025 12:09

She took money out of son's trust to then allow her to move 100's of miles away with her latest boyfriend. She didnt need to give up her share of the house. Its not as though she was going to evict him.

Gymnopedie · 05/09/2025 12:10

She could possibly have wormed her way round the tax issue - bad advice, genuine mistake etc. I think what might have been the nail in the coffin was telling different organisations that different properties were her main residence for council tax purposes. That was fairly and squarely on her and deliberate. No worming her way out of that one.

ajandjjmum · 05/09/2025 12:11

One of the worst things is that she inflated the price of her share of the house she 'sold' to her son's trust, so that she got more of his money. In what world is that acceptable behaviour.

RedRec · 05/09/2025 12:11

I could not be happier about this. She has always been a grifter. And as thick as pigshit.

peachescariad · 05/09/2025 12:11

Good news….. hopefully Lier Starmer will follow

PropertyD · 05/09/2025 12:11

So critical about others underpaying tax and then doing it herself and blaming others including a small family run firm.
