Dogs suddenly everywhere

AIBU to think since covid it's got a little out of control 😅 went to my local outlet centre today (MacArthur Glen) and they're now allowing all dogs into shops and restaurants. Totally get dog friendly places, you can choose not to go to them if you don't like them but feels a little wrong they're now just in shops. What if you have a fear or allergy? Or is it just me?

Macarthur Glen near me has allowed dogs for years and years

In my opinion it's because other places have tightened rules so options of leaving dogs are less.
We would have previously left our dog in holiday cottages, hotels, caravans etc but all come with clear rules about not leaving them now days. No one also leaves their dogs in cars or tied up outside shops or in the garden.
When I was kid my parents would leave our dogs just outside in the garden if we were going on a full day out, which isn't done anymore

Combined with people being more Aware about dogs not being left for whole days means my dog comes more places then my childhood dog!

Can we have an amnesty on this topic.

I think there are goady twats everywhere but I can't seem to make anyone else care enough to do anything about it. We all have our crosses to bear OP.

My dogs only go in shops if we need something on the way back from a walk. They do like a couple of our local cafes as they get a lot of fuss from the staff and they sell treats for them. They also enjoy a day at a lido.

I'm not a dog person (cat person here, I don't love dogs, I don't dislike them,) but I have to say the dog HATERS are much more batshit than any dog owner.
