To hope that Trump gets his Nobel Peace Prize?

I do not like anything about the man.

BUT, he is clearly after peace. I think he wants peace for two reasons; one, to enable more golf time, and two, to win a Nobel Peace Prize.
I don’t think the reason is because he is super kind and thoughtful or anything.

I think that his odd and unpredictable behaviour is starting to make other world leaders afraid of him (not to be confused with respect).
When others say ‘don’t do this or we will sanction you’ he says ‘don’t break your nuclear rules or I’ll bomb you’ and then proceeds to actually do so without delay.

This strange, autocratic, narcissistic style will either lead to huge issues, or might just be crazy enough to make other tyrants think twice about how they act. Enabling more time for golf.

I probably haven’t explained it very well. But his actions, whatever we think of them, have pretty much stopped the fledgling Israel/Iran war in its tracks. I wonder how long it would have gone on with nothing but disapproving glances and aid from the western world.

To reiterate: I don’t like Trump, I don’t think he’s right, but I do have to wonder whether his slightly unhinged leadership style might not scare the rest of the world into behaving a bit better.

He's wrecked NATO which has kept the peace (mostly) in Europe since WW2. So no I don't think the Nobel Peace Prize should be awarded to Trump.

Just because Iran has not retaliated does not mean Iran won't retaliate. I refer you to the World Trade Center, which, to be fair, was executed by Egyptians and funded by Saudis. Iran cannot mount an Army, but they can engage in terrorist attacks with the help of other Muslim countries.

If Trump is ever given a Nobel prize imho it will devalue the award for everyone who has ever received it and I shall campaign against it as much as I can.

He literally reiterated his commitment to NATO yesterday, and brought about the 5% GDP commitment from member countries.

But if he really wanted peace he'd have been on the phone to Bibi making it clear he would withdraw support for Israel if they struck Iran, wouldn't he? And he would have been insisting long ago that Israel cease it's action in Gaza.

If he gets the Nobel Peace Prize it will cease to mean anything. They absolutely can't endorse the way he's acted or do anything to encourage future leaders to act in the same way. Our whole world order is being turned on its head.

Firstly it will cheapen the Noble Peace prize down to something from the back of a cornflakes packet. Secondly his whole existence is about grievances and revenge. After all the money, favours and options he has had in life, it is never enough, he will want more and be aggrieved that he didn't get the prize a decade earlier or not enough prizes and so on. He is a genetic psychopath so there are no limits to his obsessions.

Peace in Gaza for Trump would be 'Miami on the Med' and not a Palestinian in sight.

I don't. I think he's had thoughts about changing the constitution so he can't get booted out, realised he can't, so wants to do the wartime president thing instead.
