At what age should you stop wearing jeans ?

When are you too old to wear jeans? I've always worn jeans, tee-shirt, fleeces etc. I wore a uniform at work. I can dress up when it's warranted and scrub up quite well. But it's unnecessary and over the top for going to the chip shop !
I do wear nice tops and cardigans when meeting with my friend for lunch.
Is it time to embrace the polyester ?

Never too old to wear jeans. I didn't realise there was an age limit for clothes. Wear what you want at any age.

On your 84th birthday take all your denim to the charity shop. While you're there pick up some lovely slacks and some of those big shoes with velcro on.

My mum and mother-in-law are still very much wearing jeans in their 80s. Jeans are ageless.

I know someone whose mum died aged 103. The last time I saw her she was wearing jeans and I think she was 101. possibly 102. She had really nice jeans and perfectly coiffed hair. One of those women who was always much better put together than I'll ever be.

My mother never wore any form of trousers, until she went into a care home at 90 years old. She said we had tried to persuade her but she had never realised how comfy they were (not jeans but stretch trousers)
I'm now 70, I would say 90+% of my life has been in trousers, although not always jeans. Fuck anyone telling me what to wear. Jeans as long as that's what you are comfortable in.
Above a certain age we are practically invisible anyway so just wear what you want.

Even Edinburgh Woollen Mills sell jeans so they must be ok for oldies 😄

My Dad, who would have been late 90s now didn't wear jeans but did wear cords, my Mum - equally vintage - did wear jeans.

When the menopause fades, the waist widens and the hips disappear. This is when the comfy elastic waist pants come along and the jeans hit the donation pile.

...there are jeans alternatives not made of polyester.

There’s some really pretty longer tunic tops/blouses. They go great with jeans.

Pretty sure you can be buried in jeans if you wish

Although the ones I wear do have a bit of stretch for comfort😂
