To wonder how people aren’t embarrassed by going on “Sort Your Life Out”

Their houses are shit holes and they are sob storying Stacey Solomon

I would rather torch my house and all the stuff in it then have to listen to her screechy voice all day

Just tidy your house up you dirty sods

There are a number of other tv programmes where you could wonder why anyone ever goes on them. Accepting your point and I would feel the same.

CharityShopMensGlasses · 03/06/2025 20:25

I mean it's mildly better than embarrassing bodies though 🤣

bridgetreilly · 03/06/2025 20:26

I would happily sign up to it! I love her and I love sorting and tidying when I am made to do it.

I'd be more embarrassed about this post tbh.

Stompythedinosaur · 03/06/2025 20:27

I think this is a pretty mean-spirited post. I think people struggle with keeping their homes tidy for lots of reasons.

I guess not everyone can be as perfect as the op.

Don't be mean about Stacey - she's a lovely woman! And obviously anyone who is embarrassed by a mess wouldn't be in that state in the first place! Do the families get paid?

Pleatherandlace · 03/06/2025 20:29

Don’t come for Stacey! We ❤️ her

CostaDelZamboni · 03/06/2025 20:30

How is the view up there?

637382gdjdb · 03/06/2025 20:31

I'd rather have a messy house than be completely devoid of empathy. A messy house can be made tidy; a cruel nature is forever.

Happyher · 03/06/2025 20:31

I often wonder what the houses are like a year later

jesihar · 03/06/2025 20:36

Yeah I think that’s harsh. If you watch it they usually give the story. One that sticks in my mind is sister died and she took in children and all mums stuff and granny. Was terrified to get rid of anything.

don’t really have an opinion on Stacey but I think that those on it certainly seem grateful for the help.

Reversetail · 03/06/2025 20:39

Wow what nasty and completely devoid of empathy post. Deliberately so I expect.

RunningNananananananananana · 03/06/2025 20:41

Maybe, just maybe they're incredibly embarrassed but they are admitting that they need help and this is their way of getting it.

Just fed up with this beggar something for nothing society that we live in.

where people don’t take ownership of their lives and expect someone else to do it for them

There was also that lovely man whose wife had died a year or so after their second baby was born, after she was diagnosed with cancer while pregnant. He was trying to keep his head above water as a single parent to two small, bereaved children while grieving himself, and he couldn't face tackling his wife's possessions and deciding what to keep for their daughters and what to give away. I think for someone like him having external help was probably life changing. They had bereavement counsellors on hand to help the team approach it. I remember Tilly found it hard - she was undergoing cancer treatment herself at the time.

mumda · 03/06/2025 20:43

Never mind embarrassing bodies ... What was the one where Gillian mckeith would look at your poo in a tupperware container ?

2025ismybestyear · 03/06/2025 20:45

It's Dilly, not Tilly.

Meanwhile, in normal land, people help one another. That's what being part of a community is. It means doing things for other people at occasional inconvenience to yourself because you recognise that we're better and happier and stronger when we support and look out for one another. That's why my husband mows my elderly neighbour's garden when he does ours, instead of calling him a beggar and telling him to fuck off. That's why I drop meals round to my friends when they have babies. That's why I look after my son's friend when his mother works a late shift once a week.

These are normal ways people behave when they're not arseholes who see life as a zero sum game you have to win.

Starlightstarbright4 · 03/06/2025 20:49
