Their houses are shit holes and they are sob storying Stacey Solomon

I would rather torch my house and all the stuff in it then have to listen to her screechy voice all day

Just tidy your house up you dirty sods

Just fed up with this beggar something for nothing society that we live in.

where people don’t take ownership of their lives and expect someone else to do it for them

And yet you watch it.

Wow, you went from just superior about people struggling with hoarding to thinking you’re better than everyone. I’d be careful though, you’re sounding a bit Facebook / YouTube rabbit-hole-ish. You’ll be talking about the great reset next. Although, having said that, the great reset sounds like a great name for a decluttering show.

Of course you do hun 🍷💋

I believe we have found one of the posters that’s missing the laughing emoji.

Lilactimes · 03/06/2025 21:03

A friend of mine offers this service - declutter, tidy and clean and managing your builders or handyman if that parts necessary.
all in private - no cameras! PM me if your in the south and want her website!

Stirabout · 03/06/2025 21:03

Ladies you’re making me want to now just to see this Rob guy 🤫

Wow, that's the kind of leap that Jonathan Edwards would be proud of. 😂

Be thankful OP that you're oh so self sufficient and responsible.

Bugger embarrassment, I'm drowning after being widowed three years ago, with two storage units and a stuffed flat, full if dead people's things and with limited resources to deal with it. Frankly I'd welcome the sort of sorting out that this programme does, because I'm broke and grieving - my Dad died in April, my MIL died last week and I'm surrounded by dead people's stuff and barely holding it together to organise Dad's funeral next week.

I do have some good friends who help when they can, but they have their own lives and problems.

Frankly the sneery tone of the OP is a horrible indictment of modern attitudes, and it's no wonder people end up with significant mental health problems from the weight of such sanctimonious judgement.

I'm so very sorry things have been and are so tough for you.
You and your health and well being are so much more important than " stuff"
Warmest wishes to youFlowers

Theunamedcat · 03/06/2025 21:04

My sister wanted me to go on it because she hates me having a "house full"⁸ of toys that the kids play with she also irrationally hates my cake pans I should get rid of ALL (3) of them because how often do I bake a cake (tomorrow and a couple of weeks ago I bake often) she complains my children are on consoles but if she had her way that's all they would have left because it's "tidier" than toys

I said no and told her to get a grip 😂

A friend set up a business doing this and stood in my living room (she was just there for a cuppa and a chat) and asked if I wanted to ‘get rid of all this old stuff’………er
you mean the antiques 🤣🤣

BuckinghamPalaceFlagpole · 03/06/2025 21:09

I’d go on it if it meant Rob built me some shelving ! Love SYLO , the team are so lovely!

Housemouse245 · 03/06/2025 21:09

I think OP took a wrong turn and ended up on Mumsnet rather than (bitchy) Tattle.

I think this is a pretty mean-spirited post. I think people struggle with keeping their homes tidy for lots of reasons.

I guess not everyone can be as perfect as the op.

Or as ignorant.

McLennonK · 03/06/2025 21:10

Wow, must be lovely to be so perfect! What a mean spirited and judgy post.

I think that is a bit odd, tbh. To take one opinion of a person that you dislike and then go on to assume that they are the type of person who thinks everything you dislike. It's very myopic.

I was shocked reading the chat in there re this. She doesn’t do anything except smoke ?

suki1964 · 03/06/2025 21:11

DH says we need to get the team in here - and seriously my house is pretty tidy

I personally love the programme, yes Ive sat tonight and watched a repeat

I like it because it's really helping people. The people they are helping arent lazy feckers, there is a back story

As someone who has in the past, struggled with severe depression where even changing undies was a major win, I do get how things can get like this. Even recently Ive had to clear out 4 years of clutter - again depression, just getting up and into work was as good as it got .

I do think the rooms are pretty much staged tbh. I finally got to clear out a wardrobe where I was just shoving stuff in for years, and half the clothes were mouldy

Remember "How clean is your Home? " I remember on that they went into a woman's home, successful high flyer, house was supposed to have been filthy while she was going into work with a full face, hair done etc - and the sink and bath were pure black -the kitchen was covered in mould - no way was she able to be keeping herself clean and so well turned out if those rooms were real

KIlliePieMyOhMy · 03/06/2025 21:12

You get to meet Dame Stacey of Solomon - how fab.

ChaToilLeam · 03/06/2025 21:14

I've got a hoarder relative, an elderly man who lived with his mum and brother for all his life. After they died, he simply hasn't been able to face getting rid of any of their stuff. The smallest things are hard for him to let go of. He's got a bag of boiled sweets that belonged to his mum, they're sticky and gunky now but he can't bear to get rid of them. It's very very sad because the house could be lovely. We struggle here against clutter because of ADHD DP but this is on another scale and I feel great compassion for people who are in that situation and can't find their way out.

forgotmyusername1 · 03/06/2025 21:14

I raise you naked attraction

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 03/06/2025 21:15

Fwiw, I quite like Stacey. I especially like the way she organises stuff into sweet storage solutions complete with labels but, yeah, I think it's poor form to buy so much stuff that your house doesn't function and your children have to live smaller lives to accommodate the mess - as is frequently the case on this show. But, I'm okay with being judgy.

Ninkynonkpinkyponks · 03/06/2025 20:49

I love this programme but you did make me laugh OP 😆😆 YANBU I am in horror watching often. How do people let it get so bad and don’t even do anything about it!!
my house gets about 10% as messy and im
like shit let’s clear a drawer out or sort my cupboard out

You're lucky you've never been overwhelmed, had mental health problems or come from a dysfunctional background.

Fair enough. For what it’s worth, it was the turn of phrase used and the tone of what she was saying aligning to people I know that have had those other views as well.. Rather than you thinking that I’ve extrapolated out to everything I don’t like. But, never mind. We can disagree.
