Just being nosey and quite bored 😅

So..me, mid 40’s, live abroad, sat on balcony drinking a Somersby, Dd, 7 will come up to bed in a minute and we’ll do bedtime story. I’ll probably come back on the balcony when she’s asleep. Dh going out

Anyone else? Vague age, area, plans? Sm shows me everyone is out and my road is very quiet

UK based. Mid 30s watching tv in bed with pupper enjoying a Diet Coke. Mindfully I’m in Monaco watching the F1 on a yacht and reading books in the glorious sunshine

BumpLoading · 24/05/2025 20:19

Mid thirties and currently laying with my 3 year old till he falls asleep (yes he is old enough to do it himself and he can but I’m happy for cuddles while he wants them!)
husband is getting the baby to sleep and we will sit down with a cup of tea and some tv once all kids are asleep, no wild Saturday nights here!

Hercthemerc · 24/05/2025 20:20

Mid 50s a bit poorly and in bed. Kids are quiet, husband is downstairs with the dog and making me tea.

FionnulaTheCooler · 24/05/2025 20:21

Mid 40s, just had a chip shop tea now watching Britain's Got Talent with teenage DD.

missymousey · 24/05/2025 20:22

Same age as you, in a town in Scotland. I've just read a chapter of The Queen's Nose to my 8 and 6 year olds, said goodnight, heading to the community garden to do some watering and put the chickens into their coop for the night.

rubbishtv · 24/05/2025 20:23

In bed scrolling.Early start tomorrow 5am 😩

Chipsahoy · 24/05/2025 20:23

Early 40s currently sitting with youngest dc while he falls asleep. We are at home in our 200yr old stone cottage in rural Scotland. It’s warm and wet outside.

Halo20 · 24/05/2025 20:23

Mid thirties and currently sitting with my 6 week old baby asleep on me and waiting for her to wake soI can feed her and put her to bed.

I aim to be asleep by 9:30.

DH is sitting beside me playing fifa.

ClaredeBear · 24/05/2025 20:24

Early 50s, in Wales. Husband is away, I’ve just eaten girl dinner and I’m snacking on a few olives with a G&T.

BakewellGin1 · 24/05/2025 20:24

40, northern England
Had pizza and film night with younger DS
Older DS at Wembley for Play Offs
DH on a golfing trip
Making the most of the chance to do less

Cbeebiesismyworld · 24/05/2025 20:25

45, in Wales and in the bath scrolling on my phone! Husband downstairs, 3 teens doing their own thing. Got to get up for work at 4am so early night on its way…

PopThatBench · 24/05/2025 20:25

Early 30s, Midlands (England), sat on the sofa miserable as fuck because I’m 33 weeks pregnant and I’m in pain (back, ribs, weird nerve damage).
Spent the day trying to upcycle a cot.
I’d love to be on a balcony abroad right now. I feel so stressed and overwhelmed I could cry.

CalicoPusscat · 24/05/2025 20:27

In a budget hotel. Can't decide who is noisier, the lager sports guys or the bingo crew.

As I walked back just now the lager/sports people said "be careful, there's bingo". I just said: woo hoo!

Ate a fish burger and Mcflurry for my tea 😁

Meadowfinch · 24/05/2025 20:29

60yo, curled up on my sofa in s. England, waiting for supper to cook. Ds16 is playing computer games.

We've been swimming today, and walked miles because my car is off the road. No plans other than eating, watching a film, then retreating to my bed.

OandN · 24/05/2025 20:30

Mid 40s having a very rare night with the house to myself. DH and kids are away to granny's for a sleepover. Have had a shower and now watching BGT. Plan to have an early night as am away for a trip tomorrow with my mum.

RabbitsRock · 24/05/2025 20:31

Late 50s in rainy Cornwall, watching BGT with DH. He’s eating filled pasta with a tub of tomato & basil sauce. My salmon fillets are in the oven & I will have them with Uncle Ben’s Thai Sweet Chilli Microwave Rice. Really suffering with fracture pain 😢

FiveGoMadInDorset · 24/05/2025 20:32

Mid 50’s, south of England, watching TV with dog and knitting, waiting to see if I need to pick DS16 up or if he is staying at a friends, will have a glass of wine if he is not coming home

MercuryRisingBeware · 24/05/2025 20:33

I too, live abroad from the homeland.

Currently it's early summer, so warm but not yet unbearable. I'm having a cold, refreshing diet coke. Sitting outdoors on my patio, watching the squirrels & birds etc. Waving to neighbours because nobody has fencing...

It is actually lovely. Glorious, big old trees. Lovely garden. Blue sky. Even better at dusk. Gorgeous sunset. You get the idea.

Bunnybigears · 24/05/2025 20:34

40s
North East, we have had a very good day football wise
Watching BGT but not really concentrating as worried about DS18 who has been at Wembley and who I haven't heard from since just after the final whistle. He is probably absolutely fine but I wish he would answer his bloomin phone.

40s uk putting my kids to sleep and then I really want to go to sleep it has been a long day😴

MrsAvocet · 24/05/2025 20:35

Late 50s, northern England. Sitting on the sofa scrolling through mumsnet whilst putting off loading the dishwasher and hoping that DH will go out to lock the chickens up as it's pouring with rain. Though to be honest, it is quite welcome rain given how long it is since we last had any.

WalterMittysPuppet · 24/05/2025 20:35

52, North East England. Cosied up in our giant bed with two small dogs, husband already snoring beside me - he's 54 and has always fallen asleep super-early, for the 27 years I've known him. I'm doing some mindless scrolling while I figure out what program to watch on my tablet - we started Clarkson's Farm 4 tonight but that's one we'll watch together. I'll find a TV drama or a film I expect, I've been watching Protection on ITVX but it's not as thrilling as I'd hoped...

I could sit in the living room but it's more comfortable under the duvet! I LOVE early bedtime, reflux will wake me again soon enough.
