Just being nosey and quite bored 😅

So..me, mid 40’s, live abroad, sat on balcony drinking a Somersby, Dd, 7 will come up to bed in a minute and we’ll do bedtime story. I’ll probably come back on the balcony when she’s asleep. Dh going out

Anyone else? Vague age, area, plans? Sm shows me everyone is out and my road is very quiet

So sorry 😔 but I would love to be early 30’s and pregnant 💓

Thank you ❤️ I really am so grateful my body’s capable of carrying this baby. x

itsgettingweird · 24/05/2025 20:36

Mid 40’s. Laying on sofa with NCIS repeats on and MNing.

DS is in his room working on his
model railway.

Only other plan is to go to bed at some point and to do the housework tomorrow!!!

REDB99 · 24/05/2025 20:36

Mid 40s. NE England. Just back from a walk up the beach to the pub where DD bumped into a friend so they played on the grass while we had a drink. Walk back along the beach. DD in bed and now on the sofa catching up on The Handmaid’s Tale.

TheOriginalEmu · 24/05/2025 20:37

46, Welsh. Currently in hospital (again 🙄) having some blood and plasma transfusions and an IV drip because ‘you have an infection….we just don’t know where’.
almost finished with immunotherapy (combined with radiotherapy on a clinical trial for my sarcoma type) so hoping to have a better immune system at some point because this is tedious as fuck.

So I’m playing chess with Duolingo to amuse myself 😂

In my 40s, live on the east coast of Scotland. Sitting in my living room with the window wide open as the sun absolutely streams into our living room in the afternoon/evening and it’s lovely. I’m just wearing shorts and a T-shirt because it was so warm earlier.

DH is working tonight (nightshift, he’ll get home around 7.30am). DC (21 and 17) are about to take the dogs out for their evening walk since it’s finally cooling down a bit outside. Both dogs are in a huff with me because I put their flea treatment on them tonight.

I’m watching stuff from the Big Weekend on iPlayer and chatting to friends on Messenger about true crime programmes on Netflix that we’ve been watching.

We had a takeaway tonight from a local peri peri place. I wasn’t really hungry though so had cheesy chilli bites and then shared halloumi fries with DD. Having a nice cold can of Coke too. I’ve been drinking ice cold water from my new Stanley cup all day so fancied something with a bit of flavour.

I too, live abroad from the homeland.

Currently it's early summer, so warm but not yet unbearable. I'm having a cold, refreshing diet coke. Sitting outdoors on my patio, watching the squirrels & birds etc. Waving to neighbours because nobody has fencing...

It is actually lovely. Glorious, big old trees. Lovely garden. Blue sky. Even better at dusk. Gorgeous sunset. You get the idea.

Edited

Ahh, sounds lovely, whereabouts? We don’t have squirrels (I don’t think!) so can’t be where we are, but also early summer

Nearly mid 40s and also abroad. It's been cold today. I'm snuggled up in bed and I can watch the rain fall on the pool in the garden. DS is at his dad's so I'm home alone with DD, trying to get her to sleep. She isn't terribly compliant and keeps mistaking me for a climbing frame..

Early 30s, Midlands (England), sat on the sofa miserable as fuck because I’m 33 weeks pregnant and I’m in pain (back, ribs, weird nerve damage).
Spent the day trying to upcycle a cot.
I’d love to be on a balcony abroad right now. I feel so stressed and overwhelmed I could cry.

Edited

I'm sorry. I hope you get some decent sleep and things start to lift soon 💙

Strawberryorangejuice · 24/05/2025 20:41

40 years old, in southern England. Giving the kids a late night. One is eating chips and cucumber, one is on his iPad and the other is on her games console. I'm drinking rose Prosecco while watching the F1 with my husband.

Picklepower · 24/05/2025 20:42

UK based, visiting another area of UK for a holiday over bank holiday weekend. DD and I watching a film in bed in our air b&b, DH gone out to get out dinner from a restaurant. We can't go to said restaurant as we have dog with us, who is conked out at the end of the bed after a busy day

Worriedsickmostofthetime · 24/05/2025 20:42

Mid 40s. Live abroad but this is my home country so I’m happy to be here. Autumn / early winter but on a weekend break at the beach. It’s mid 20 degrees so weather is perfect. Lying in bed with doors open and I can hear the sea. Imagining in a year or so we will have our own beach home as we went to go look at land we just purchased to build our beach home. Ate fish caught by friends today on deep sea fishing boat with salad and baby potatoes and a glass of crisp rose. Feeling very fortunate!

FiggyFubbins · 24/05/2025 20:42

Early 30s. UK, midlands. Sat scrolling on mumsnet and Vinted in bed, just put 14wk old DD to sleep in her crib next to me🥰 DH on laptop laid in bed next to me.

monty09 · 24/05/2025 20:43

Late 30s, just having my tea as not long finished work. Kids at there dads so nice and quiet. Going to read while my DP plays his game.

NatalieH2220 · 24/05/2025 20:44

Late 30's, UK. Sitting with my 4.5yo who refuses to sleep at a decent time. Hopefully he'll be asleep by 9, Then will have dinner and watch a couple of episodes of something before bed.

PensionMention · 24/05/2025 20:44

Uk based, later fifties and early retired. Drove across county to collect something I bought. Had a walk with DH, had a big dinner this evening with family and just watched a very touching film called Still Life on YouTube which I thoroughly recommend.

56, widowed 3 years, have just eaten a double decker (2 actually - the small ones). Communing with my cats, one of whom is full of kittens. Having a nice cup of tea, and in between planning my Dad's funeral in my head - he died recently, it's not that I hate him or anything - I'm doom scrolling and planning a future as an activist against AI because I think Sarah Connor is a valid role model, and I may have Luddite jeans.

Chin chin 😘

Scarlettpixie · 24/05/2025 20:50

52 UK Midlands. My son is away in London with his girlfriend so it’s just me and the dog at home and the dog has gone to bed! I am feeling a bit sorry for myself as I have been suffering from heartburn since last night when I has some white wine. Usually I am fine with it and occasionally not.

We went for a walk in the rain about 7.30pm and I am now having a naked noodle pot and a cup of warm water (which helps the indigestion). I am just about to start season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead.

Lifealittleboulder · 24/05/2025 20:51

Early (ish!) 40s on an island, just got the kids to bed, although I can hear ds is still awake (preteen)
. we have sausage and chips in the oven. Hubby’s stretched out on the sofa, scrolling after a long day.. sitting with my feet up staring out the picture window across our garden to our front field with calves in, slopes downwards towards a river with loads of mature trees and honeysuckle. It’s so green and lush. It’s drizzly but warm, lots of sea gulls about which is unusual inland, someone must have been ploughing on the next farm.
when teas ready we’ll watch clarksons farm and then go to bed, busy day tomorrow with church and we’ll take the kids somewhere in the afternoon, hopefully it’ll be dry possibly down to a beach, most likely ice Cream will feature!

CoubousAndTourmalet · 24/05/2025 20:51

61, North West England. Just got back from walking puppy, we got completely drenched! Having a mug of Nestle Caro, and then I'll pick up my knitting again for a bit.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 24/05/2025 20:52

Genes Goddamit. Not jeans I never wear jeans. Damn you Autocorrect.

aardonpardonwenttothegarden · 24/05/2025 20:52

Mid 30. 4YO DC refusing to go to sleep as sleep patterns have changed suddenly and only sleeping for 10 hours. DH out meet family and I need to study for my exam next week!

WhereIsMyJumper · 24/05/2025 20:52

40, sat in the car eating a McDonalds after just leaving the cinema on my own. Suffering from heartbreak and feeling lonely

DiscoZombie · 24/05/2025 20:53

Late 30s. Currently in a hotel and beginning to wish I'd picked somewhere else! My hotel is right next to a pub and they're doing karaoke. Hopefully it'll quieten down soon
